We are a full-service gas fireplace repair and maintenance company, specializing in quality inspection, repair and cleaning of gas fireplaces, gas log inserts, gas log sets and gas space heaters for homeowners, property managers, realtors, gas suppliers and home inspectors.

"John responded promptly and he came out and gave me an estimate. I paid him for parts ordered and he called me a few months later to set up an appointment for the repair. He came out on the day specified and got the fireplace working. This was summer and we didn't turn it on until late October. When we turned it on, it filled the house with a natural gas smell. I called John and he told me he was busy but would come out in a week or two. We set up an appointment and he never showed. I tried to call him and he sent a text saying he was in the hospital. I was unable to contact him by phone ever since. He just texted saying can't talk now! This job cost me Nearly $1,000 and I still don't have a working fireplace! I sent him an email asking for an explanation, as we can all have trouble, but he never responded."

"Rick is as dishonest as they come. After faulty installation, Rick refused to meet with me at his showroom in Camp Hill and called local PD to ask us to leave. Met with Rick and his lawyer to have properly installed pipe work. Rick did send his techs to install new chimney and stove pipe (with proper length so the 2 pipes would actually connect) after this meeting however, he continues to blame the owner rather than accept accountability. Never hire again!"

No 'minimum' annual charges or rental fees for low volume propane users. Prior propane home delivery company charged annual rental and minimum usage fees that averaged out to over $19 per gal!! Service Oil has no installation or delivery charges - customer pays only for actual propane delivery at a reasonable market price."

This is a matter of personal preference, as each method has its own pros and cons. Oil furnaces are safer, but the smell can be off-putting to some consumers. Oil is also more expensive than gas. Natural gas companies advise only shutting off the gas supply at the meter yourself if you smell natural gas or suspect there is a leak, typically following an emergency. Instead, you can shut off gas to individual appliances when necessary. If you want to turn off your natural gas entirely, you should contact your utility company. You’ll generally also need to acquire a permit to work on your natural gas line.

When hiring a plumber to install or repair gas pipes, consider asking them the following questions: 

  • Do you have insurance and a professional license to do the job? 

  • How long will the project take to complete? 

  • Will I need to hire additional professionals for excavation or landscaping? 

  • Do you have references from previous clients? 

  • Do you belong to any relevant trade associations? 

Not all gas fireplaces need a chimney. If you install a ventless gas fireplace, it will release low levels of combustion byproducts back into your living space (instead of pushing them outside through a chimney or vent). Ventless fireplaces burn fuel efficiently, so the emissions are minimal—but they could bother people with allergies or respiratory issues.
