At Baptiste Masonry we take great pride in every job we do like it was our own home. With 25 years experience I have seen a lot of beautiful work done by others and I have also seen a lot of not so good work. My goal for my customers is for them to be 100% satisfied and have a smile on their face when the work is complete. The job is not complete until that happens. This was a big job that took ~7 weeks to complete. The cost - given the size of the job - was reasonable and fair, and Clarke was very flexible with scheduling the work; he kept me up to date on the status of the project before the work started and during the job itself with at least weekly calls. "I was very impressed with Josh Hopkins’ work on my chimney. He went out of his way to communicate with me and be thorough and explained what needed to be done. He and his assistant had to put some very high scaffolding up and they were careful about doing it. Nothing was damaged. They noticed a couple chinks out of mortar between bricks along my deck that needed repairing also and I appreciated that observation and repair. And they left my deck nice and clean, taking the time to blow and hose it off. Once the job was done it looks so professional and beautiful. Before it was really bad with missing pieces and bricks missing and cement broken and now it looks like new."

He gave me a great proposal and very reasonable estimate and had a crew out to do the work about a week later. They worked for about 1.5 days, and we were amazed how fast they had the work completed. "Showed up in Bloomfield on time and put our minds at ease regarding a horizontal hairline crack in one of our basement walls. Told us that it wasn't a problem now and how to know if it was becoming a more serious issue. Also examined some support posts to assess if they had moved. Overall we learned a bit more about our basement and house construction, and they did not charge us for the visit because the issue was not serious at this time. Great experience!"

"We found this company by looking at all the positive reviewers online. Unfortunately we bought a house that the previous owners put an addition on themselves and they did not properly install the foundation. The walls were cracking and bowing. We got an estimate from a excavation company who wanted to remove ALL the basement walls, not just the 2 bad ones for 26k!!!! I don't know anyone who can afford that! We got an estimate from a masonry company who wanted 10k for one wall. Then, we met Jack from America's Basement Contractor. He demonstrated the utmost professionalism. He provided a quote which was very reasonable for Wall Anchors. We later received a call from Carl, the owner, stating he went over the estimate and we were quoted for more than we actually need to have done. I have never had an owner of a company contact us to provide this service! The work was completed today and it was determined an additional anchor was needed. The foreman called Carl and there was no additional charge for this. This is a family owned company. If they do not immediately answer, leave a message and they will return your call and you will be glad they did! I will recommend them to my friends and family. This company does not advertise because their work and professionalism speak for itself!"

"I used Angie's List for brick work contractors. I received a telephone call from James Ruckert. We briefly discussed the job. I had a brick chimney attached to the house. The bricks and cement at top of the were deteriorated. The next day, he visited my house and gave me a verbal estimate. I accepted his offer. The following day, he arrived on time and restored the chimney. The workmanship was excellent, and he cleaned up the work area. I thanked him for his skill and professionalism and said that I would rate his work as excellent."
