Absolute Air Authority is proud to serve the Medford, Oregon area with superior HVAC installation, repair, and maintenance services. When you call us with an air conditioning, furnace, ductwork, or evap cooler need, our technicians are ready to respond, bringing a professional and friendly attitude along with a thorough knowledge of the industry

"Our AC unit wasn't working and we called them for help. They tried to fix it and Brian did everything he could to try and fix it but it needed to be replaced. So we hired them to replace it. They did but after it was installed we were told it was a 20 amp unit and the previous one was a 15 amp. So we couldn't run the AC because of an electrical fire hazard. They contacted Pacific electrical that they work with and was told it would be $466 more for electrical work. That wasn't quoted or talked about before. It was a Friday at 3pm so I said okay and agreed to pay it but the electrician could be out there for maybe at the soonest 4 days if they could squeeze us in or it would be 2 more weeks. On Monday I called asking what could be done for the additional cost that wasn't quoted. This was there response. Tyler, You had a 2 ton system and that is what I replaced it with. Electrical was overlooked and was not included in our quote. Already gave you a great deal due to whole leak situation and can not afford to take a bigger hit. If you insist than okay, but please understand where I am coming from and lets help each other out on this. Technician Brian I replied that we wanted to be fair and agreed to pay the electrical cost. That in return we would like 2 annual maintenance's. That way they weren't out of pocket anything and felt that was fair in return for being out of pocket. They declined. Even after they admitted to an oversight when they quoted. To top things I called a different electrician to see if they could get out sooner. They came out the next day and said the wiring was up to code and sufficient. That just the breaker needed to switched to a 20amp. It was fixed for less than $100. They called Pacific electrical. So I'm not sure if they work together to charge for things not needed. To be fair to Pacific Electric they did not come out to the house. They just went by what Brian from absolute Air told them. So maybe when they got out there they would of done the same thing. But it still seems a little questionable that Absolute Air affiliates with Pacific electrical for services not needed. They say they want to help each other out but didn't want to try and make it right for the customer. Also they left multiple cigarette butts in our driveway when they installed our unit."

Install Central Vacuum questions, answered by experts

Experienced professionals don’t usually need to take down drywall to install the central vacuum. They are experienced in working in the tight spaces between walls and in crawl spaces to minimize any damage. The only drywall changes should be the holes cut for the new outlets. However, home design, existing plumbing, and other factors may require some modification. An estimate from a professional contractor should include information if any changes need to be made.

One advantage of a central vacuum system is that it can last for a very long time, especially when it’s well-maintained. You can expect a high-quality system to last at least 20 years. At this time, you may need to replace the main power unit, but the central vac system can continue functioning with new parts.

Yes, installing a central vacuum system typically adds value to your home. The ease of use, longevity, and superior suction power of a central vacuum system can add up to $2,000 to your home’s value if you decide to sell. Potential buyers may consider the central vacuum a perk to purchasing your home.

The cost to install a central vacuum cleaner system averages about $1,600, ranging from $1,100 to $2,200, depending on the size of the system, add-on features, your home’s location, and age of the system. Accessibility to running lines and other equipment can also impact the project cost. Consult a central vacuum cleaner installation company for an accurate estimate of your installation cost.

The disadvantages associated with central vacuums start with cost. They are expensive to install, especially in existing homes, as retrofitting requires opening walls. The system's bulky hoses can also be inconvenient to maneuver and store compared to portable vacuums. Additionally, repairs may need professional service, adding to maintenance costs. Lastly, while powerful, they may be overkill for smaller homes or apartments, making the investment less practical for some households.
