Tellurian Construction specializes in the building of decks, outdoor structures, outdoor kitchens and fences. We have worked with all materials and can design just about anything to meet your needs! If outdoor living is what you are looking for, give us a call.

"It went very well. Scott is easy to work with and very responsive. He designed our new covered back patio and the associated landscaping. This was a very iterative process and we customized it to our needs. We had some old stone that Scott incorporated into our project (per our request), even though this was more labor intensive. The project went according to plan. It took slightly longer than anticipated but I think this is always the way. We are very pleased with the finished result and have been spending more time than ever outside! The landscaping is also beautiful."

"Vasiliy is an amazingly talented craftsman with many talents and years of experience. Our nearly 100 year old deteriorating brick chimney was leaking water into the interior of the house and had to be repaired. Vasiliy came highly recommended to me by one of the best contractors in Portland, and I called upon him to fix it. The chimney was red brick, but Vasiliy suggested a lighter, golden color brick as it was more economical. Since our house is yellow, the golden color looked even better than red brick would have, and I saved money. The chimney is beautiful, and the repair/rebuild was so well done that Ithink it will last another 100 years,"

"From estimate through completion of the job, I was very satisfied with the company's performance. When I let the workers know that I would like one area finished off more completely (a purely aesthetic preference) they immediately took care of what needed to be done. The fence has been up for a year now, and I've had no problems with it."

"I recently hired Pacific Construction Company for a major remodel, and I couldn’t be more impressed with the results. From start to finish, the entire experience was seamless, professional, and delivered on time. They replaced all of the windows and doors in my home, and the quality of the materials is outstanding. Not only do the new windows look fantastic, but they’ve also made a noticeable difference in energy efficiency, helping to keep the house more comfortable year-round. The new doors have added a fresh, modern look to the interior and exterior, and I’ve received numerous compliments from visitors. The siding was also completely redone, and the transformation is remarkable. The crew was meticulous with their work, paying attention to even the smallest details. The house now looks modern and fresh, and I’m confident that it will hold up for many years to come. Perhaps the most impressive part of the remodel was the work done on my two bathrooms. The team completely gutted and redesigned both spaces. The finished bathrooms are beautiful, with high-end fixtures, elegant tile work, and a level of craftsmanship that exceeded my expectations. They also managed to maximize the space in both rooms, making them feel larger and more functional without compromising on style. Throughout the project, communication was excellent. I was kept informed at every stage, and the team was always available to answer any questions. They were punctual, respectful of my home, and made sure the job site was always clean and safe. I highly recommend Pacific Construction Company for any home remodeling needs. Their attention to detail, professionalism, and commitment to quality work made this a fantastic experience, and I’m thrilled with the results!"

I specialize in understructure repairs that include termite, water and dryrot damage. I work mostly with real estate agents when a home inspection report has items that will need to be corrected before sale of home. I replace foundations on existing homes with a concrete foundation. I have been in business for 16 years. I do all other types of construction and will take on jobs small and large.

"Anthony and his crew were great. After receiving very high estimates from other foundation contractors I found Anthony through this website. He efficiently ascertained the situation and laid out his proposed game plan in very easy to understand words and terms . No scare tactics, no "the sky is falling" maneuvers. I very much appreciate his easy going approach and manner - same with his crew - all very upbeat without any phoniness. Work was done efficiently, cleaned up daily, and on time. He's a very personable and knowledgeable everyday guy, just out there to make a living and not a killing. I'd use him again in a heartbeat."

Fencing questions, answered by experts

A wrought iron fence is worth it if the material suits your home’s needs and the cost fits within your budget. However, wrought iron is not the best choice if you’re looking for a fence that increases privacy. However, if you want a fence and a security gate that complements your brick or stone home with a classy, timeless, and elegant look, wrought iron fencing is a good option. As far as the longevity of wrought iron fencing compared to other materials, wrought iron wins almost every time.

This depends mainly on how well the posts were installed and what type of wood was used to build the gate in the first place. Softwoods have a life expectancy of up to 15 years but can last slightly longer with regular maintenance and waterproofing treatments. By contrast, hardwoods can last up to 30 years with little care, so you may avoid costly replacements by spending a little more upfront.

Regular cleaning, rust-proof coatings, and checking fasteners help prolong the lifespan.

Green branches are more flexible and easier to work with, but they'll shrink as they dry, which can loosen your fence weave over time—so you'll need to weave them extra tight to account for shrinkage. Some species, particularly willow, may also try to sprout when used green. For these reasons, it’s typically easiest to use branches that have dried for a week or two.

You should dig a trench that’s 6 to 8 inches deep so that when the silt fence stands up, it has at least 6 inches below ground. It’s important to firmly bury your silt fence into the trench you’ve dug to keep water from running underneath the fence into the pile of soil you’re containing.
