"The project went smoothly and was thousands of dollars cheaper than if I had gone with one of their competitors. It has now been about 4 years since the project was completed but the roof still looks brand new and hasn't had any issues."

This leftover layer is prone to peeling, cracking, and trapping moisture, ultimately defeating the purpose of sealing in the first place. 

You’ll need to wait until the surface is completely dry, which can take anywhere from 24 to 48 hours under optimal conditions.
