"Artistic Landscape transformed the area in front of our house from a sad flowerbed into a lovely paver stone seating area. We love it and we love working with Artistic Landscape to make our ideas into reality!"

"Mason and Dillon were absolutely wonderful to work with. They were both very wonderful and knowledgeable. They took the time to help us fully understand all the processes for both dealing with insurance and coordinating with the plumbers. They made a very stressful time so much easier and very very appreciative. 5 stars for sure!"

"Joe Smith from RamJack arrived on time and completed an analysis of our home. We showed him the areas of concern and the things we have done to correct prior substandard construction work. After the inspection Joe Took great care to inform us that the foundation was fine but showed us some areas where some improvements could be made to steady up a few cross beams under the home and suggested our existing contractor perform the minor work. Thank you Joe and RmJack for your honesty, integrity and great customer service. Wonder company that we would highly recommend."

"Job took two weeks end to end. The job was complex and involved tree removal, demolition, and then construction. Alex let us know what to expect and raised issues and decisions in an efficient manner. Noe and Gildardo were punctual, hard working, and took great pride in their work They worked through some wet and nasty weather and it didnt slow them down. The precision stone cutting they performed to build the wall properly really made a difference. The end result is amazing and we are very happy with the result."

"Luis and his crew arrived on time. Luis went over with me all of the items that needed to be done, and kept me informed throughout the process which took 5-6 hours. We had not planned to have the debris (large rocks) and furnace removed, but Luis offered it and we gladly paid for the extra time - well worth it! Luis and his two crew members were very friendly and did an excellent job. I would not hesitate for second to have John's Waterproofing do work for me in the future."

Masonry questions, answered by experts

Costs range from $3,500 to $15,000, depending on material, labor, and design complexity.

Masonry uses units like bricks, cement blocks, and stone with mortar between them. Mortar is generally made of sand and a type of cement. Examples of masonry include the brick or stone on a house, chimney, or freestanding wall. Concrete is a mixture of water, sand, stone aggregate, and other materials, and is poured into forms or moldings. Types of concrete applications include driveways, garage and basement floors, and poured concrete walls in basements and crawl spaces.

The size of your pizza oven will determine the number of bricks necessary to build it. So the bigger your pizza oven, the more fire bricks you’ll need to purchase. Keep in mind that fire bricks cost about $3 each.

You can use normal bricks as cladding for a concrete or clay pizza oven or as a base underneath one. Fire bricks or solid clay bricks are necessary for an outdoor pizza oven’s floor, and you can use clay bricks for the rest of the oven.

Chimney mortar typically lasts 20 to 30 years, depending on its quality, local weather conditions, and maintenance. Over time, exposure to moisture, freezing, and thawing cycles can cause mortar to deteriorate, leading to cracks and gaps. Regular inspections and timely repairs, such as repointing or tuckpointing, can extend the lifespan of chimney mortar by ensuring the structure's integrity.
