"When we called Pacific plumbing it was Dec. 19 and we had called a few other plumbers. Most said they were busy and couldn't get to it until January or February. One that could gave us VERY high prices. Nick said he would be out Thursday, and he showed up early afternoon. He looked it over and said he could start on it on the 26th. He gave us a price and said he would get the locating company over to mark the other lines. They showed up on Friday. Nick took care of the permits also. He showed up on the 26th and started digging the holes needed for new line. When the machine came to put the line in they had a few problems, which Nick fixed. They had our water on by the evening. Nick said he would call and get the inspector over and them fill the holes in. Everything happened within a week. We are very happy with the work and the price. We will use them again if or when we need a plumber again. We strongly recommend Pacific Plumbing."

We are a Mobile RV repair and installation service. Our shop rate is $100 service call and $150 an hour. That sure beats a $500 towing charge or unhooking everything to drive your rig to a far away shop so you can get on the calendar to repair your rig.

Sink discoloration from water is caused by any of a number of different kinds of minerals in hard water, including iron and manganese. To avoid the staining that hard water can cause, install a water softener to remove minerals from the water as it enters your home. Rusty pipes can also cause discoloration, and may be the culprit if only one sink is stained.

The toilet flange anchors to the subfloor, usually with wood screws or cement screws, but most of it should sit above floor level at full height. When a flange is flush with the subfloor or below it, it can lead to the creation of leak paths.

The most significant difference between a standard plumbing system and a manufactured (mobile) home is the size and location of the pipes. In standard builds, the pipes run through the walls, whereas in a mobile home, they run through the floor. 

Dripping or leaking water from the handle or dripping from the showerhead (when its off) are signs your shower valve needs to be replaced. Other signs include low water pressure and inconsistent water pressure and temperature (that isn’t caused by other factors like someone else using another fixture at the same time). Difficulty turning the valve and water not turning on at all are advanced signs that the valve is wearing out.

Adding another bathroom isn’t the most complicated project you can undertake, but it’s in the top 5%. Anything involving plumbing and electrical work should be handed off to a pro, and adding a half bath involves both. A contractor may charge $70 to $120 an hour for labor, but chances are they can work much faster and more accurately than a DIYer.
