I've had the same plumber for 30 years. I have no experience with other plumbers, so I have nothing to judge the price by. I like the plumber. He's honest, and he can diagnose problems so quickly and accurately. He's just amazing. We've never had any cause for dissatisfaction. He has always performed exactly as we wanted.

Brent Jauch showed up within 15 minutes. Solved all problems. This is the third time we have a difficult plumbing problem and Brent has solved them all in a timely efficient manner. He is a real pro. Much better than some of the larger plumbing companies we have dealt with over the years.

The technician worked quickly and efficiently. He was knowledgeable and gave useful advice for future home maintenance. The price of the toilet however was higher than expected, since I did not expect added fees.

Roger and Brent are the best plumbers in Portland. 100% honest and ethical with probably the deepest knowledge of plumbing of anyone in the Portland area. You can not do better.

They were punctual and showed up at the agreed upon time. They did a poor job of explaining their fee structure which is much more expensive than other companies on this site for the services rendered. Some of the specific itemized charges were a $25 truck charge and a $40 "parts" charge for using a snake. I was charged an additional fee, on top of their response fee and hourly, for them to drive a truck to the job site and for using common tools of the trade. This is after $95 just to show up and $115 for 1 hours worth of work. I was charged for fifteen minutes extra time on the clock and they advertise on this site that the first 30 minutes are supposed to be included in the response charge. I did talk to one of the owners about some of my concerns. He agreed that the billing structure was not properly explained to me but all of his charges are "industry standard" and would not be flexible about he bill. They are punctual and knowledgeable but charged high prices and worked slower than I would have liked. I also felt that they violated some of their own advertised policies and were not upfront about some of their fees. They know their stuff but I came away feeling a little taken advantage of.
Response from Rex L Walker Plumbing
"We regret that there was a lack of understanding in regards to our fees and the pupose of said fees. This job was a referral via a family member whom resently had work done and has been a client for years. We made every attempt to service the needs quickly as well as take care of addtional concerns at the site. Our fees are $92.00per hour, $25.truck fee and we bill on the quarter hour there after. Service calls are $ 117.00 and include the first 30 minutes. Our business was done with Member's husband and we had no direct communications with the Member. We made every attempt to clearify these concerns after they were brought to our attention the next day after the job was completed (time on site was 1hr 45m)"

I used this company based on a neighbor's recommendation. The plumber showed me how to clean out the hot water outlet, in case it didn't work again. He fixed the leak below the sink, and didn't charge me anything because he said he wasn't convinced the problem wouldn't recur. He said if it recurred, he would need to replace some parts for which he would charge. It's been two months, and things are still working fine.

Wow! When you simply want the best you call Brent. Our kitchen remodel was the project from hell except working with Brent. What a relief to just turn this portion of the project over to someone who has excellent judgment, experience to back up his work, a truck with every part required (it even has a electric overhead door), and the work ethic to make it fit perfectly. Not cheap but worth it!

Plumber was on time, meticulous, problem was fixed. I felt that paying for 30 minutes drive time, plus a $15 truck charge to be excessive. My fault, I should have asked more questions. My old plumber (now retired), never charged for travel time or a truck fee, so I didn't think to ask. I was pretty surprised at the charges for the work done. In the future I'll pick someone closer to my home.

We've used him for years. He's just awesome, he's terrific. When you get the bill he writes everything out to the last screw. He's punctual as well, and we can trust him.
