Customers say: Terrific value

"Doug's team was timely and very knowledgeable. He and his team kept me updated every step they took. Our fireplace turned out better than we hoped. He converted our fireplace into a gas log fireplace, repaired our chimney, and also gave us a remote. His and his team's customer service is excellent. Thank you!"

"My Chimney leaked water into my fireplace when it would rain. I live in a very old brick home and with time my chimney began to have mortar issues and the mortar needed to be repaired. Baxter Stone & Brick Repair Co. did an excellent job! They were here on time, worked very hard all day, were very nice people, cleaned everything up when they were done. It has rained since the repair and my fireplace has remained dry !!! These guys were great and I am very pleased!"

"Doug called within minutes of me requesting a professional. He said he could be there the next morning. Doug call that morning to inform me he was running about 2 hours behind. I appreciated the call. The tech cleaned the fireplace, polite, cleaned the area of his work and fast. Explained the minor problem and showed me how to operate the fireplace. Tech was there about 15 mins. This company but was a bit high in cost that's why I put 4 stars, but overall I would recommend this company."

"We have Frontpoint at two houses. We had been looking for ways to cut our monthly expenses (Frontpoint is approx. $100 per month total), so I called them to find out what I could do. They informed me that I was under contract for another year, and that I cannot get out of the contract without an early termination fee that is equal to the cost of the service. I'm a little disappointed, because the upfront cost of the system was very expensive ($1,000+) for each house, so it seems odd that I would get sucked into this contract. Nevertheless, I forgot that I signed up for this with them. My calendar is marked for the day that my service ends, and I will be switching to a company that charges about half of what they do. They have OK customer service and are very responsive, but the wireless system had some issues with reception in my house due to a fireplace, and then they didn't want to work with me to get that resolved. They're OK, but I can't really recommend them."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Your home’s age and foundation type dictate the complexity of gas log service. Older Tulsa homes often feature deteriorated clay-tile flues or aging iron gas lines that require replacement before installation. Running new gas lines through slab foundations proves more difficult than working with pier-and-beam structures. You must also check historic district guidelines, as exterior chimney modifications face strict review processes in many OK neighborhoods.

Helpful?

Completing gas log service boosts your home's resale appeal by removing buyer objections about old, non-functional fireplaces. Buyers in Tulsa appreciate heating backups during winter freezes and ice storms. A documented, permitted, and inspected installation signals that your system meets current OK building codes. This reduces liability concerns at closing and makes your home more attractive to buyers looking for move-in-ready properties.

Helpful?

Start by scheduling a comprehensive chimney inspection, particularly for older properties. Assess the flue liner for cracks, as damaged liners present serious fire hazards. Next, hire a certified specialist to inspect all gas lines and valves. Finally, evaluate the chimney cap for water damage and install carbon monoxide detectors on every floor of your Tulsa home.

Helpful?

Moisture control dictates the lifespan of your masonry. High rainfall and freezing winter temperatures degrade mortar joints quickly. Additionally, the expansive clay soils in OK cause foundation shifting that threatens structural integrity. Prioritize proper chimney cap and crown installation to block destructive water intrusion. Addressing these elements during fireplace service prevents rapid deterioration from extreme temperature swings.

Helpful?

A thorough chimney and firebox inspection dictates the long-term success of your gas log service. Proper local permitting guarantees the installation meets safety standards and prevents future resale issues. Commit to annual pre-season servicing in late summer to combat corrosion caused by humid Tulsa summers. Matching the correct venting system to your specific chimney ensures safe operation and consistent performance throughout OK winters.
