Customers say: Terrific value

"Doug's team was timely and very knowledgeable. He and his team kept me updated every step they took. Our fireplace turned out better than we hoped. He converted our fireplace into a gas log fireplace, repaired our chimney, and also gave us a remote. His and his team's customer service is excellent. Thank you!"

"My Chimney leaked water into my fireplace when it would rain. I live in a very old brick home and with time my chimney began to have mortar issues and the mortar needed to be repaired. Baxter Stone & Brick Repair Co. did an excellent job! They were here on time, worked very hard all day, were very nice people, cleaned everything up when they were done. It has rained since the repair and my fireplace has remained dry !!! These guys were great and I am very pleased!"

"Doug called within minutes of me requesting a professional. He said he could be there the next morning. Doug call that morning to inform me he was running about 2 hours behind. I appreciated the call. The tech cleaned the fireplace, polite, cleaned the area of his work and fast. Explained the minor problem and showed me how to operate the fireplace. Tech was there about 15 mins. This company but was a bit high in cost that's why I put 4 stars, but overall I would recommend this company."

Fireplaces questions, answered by experts

Install barrier screens around gas units to protect children and pets from hot glass surfaces. You must also place carbon monoxide detectors near all sleeping areas. To prevent pest intrusions, install a secure chimney cap that keeps birds and raccoons out. Finally, store discarded ash in metal containers outside your Tulsa home to eliminate fire hazards.

Helpful?

Schedule an annual inspection in late summer before the peak heating season begins. You should also plan for a spring checkup to identify any winter wear. Because Tulsa experiences severe weather and hail, inspect your chimney exterior after major storms to catch damaged caps or crowns early. Consistent fireplace service keeps your home safe and ready for winter.

Helpful?

Homeowners frequently skip the required local permit process, which creates major issues during real estate transactions. Another common error involves installing vented logs without verifying draft performance, leading to serious carbon monoxide hazards. You must also avoid deferring annual gas log service. The high humidity in Tulsa accelerates corrosion on burner components, causing severe ignition failures right when the first OK winter freeze arrives.

Helpful?

Moisture control dictates the lifespan of your masonry. High rainfall and freezing winter temperatures degrade mortar joints quickly. Additionally, the expansive clay soils in OK cause foundation shifting that threatens structural integrity. Prioritize proper chimney cap and crown installation to block destructive water intrusion. Addressing these elements during fireplace service prevents rapid deterioration from extreme temperature swings.

Helpful?

Completing gas log service boosts your home's resale appeal by removing buyer objections about old, non-functional fireplaces. Buyers in Tulsa appreciate heating backups during winter freezes and ice storms. A documented, permitted, and inspected installation signals that your system meets current OK building codes. This reduces liability concerns at closing and makes your home more attractive to buyers looking for move-in-ready properties.
