"Prompt, efficient, quick. Did what I asked in the three different tasks. 1) Replaced siding with waterproof type in an area where leaves gather, and painted it. 2) Augmented gutter in a place where water overflows the side and recaulked area. 3) Removed mold on brick from water overflowing gutter. Did try to push more gutter work in that area, but relented to my request. Responded quickly to my call."

"This is a great company to use in making a 141 year old basement waterproof. I look foreward to having a waterproo basemant. Craig was pleasant and went the extra mile to make the experience great."

"The French drain did it! It fixed a drainage problem I had next to my foundation. I didn’t leave a review until we had a heavy rain, to see if it was going to work, but I was very happy. I no longer have to deal with this issue. John and his helper did an excellent job. Very neat and attentive to detail. Thank you! The price was reasonable and the work was done in one day. Would highly recommend! And will have them back for more work later."

"I was looking for a good job at a reasonable price.  Airco diagnosed the problem for a fixed fee but their estimated cost to fix was 1000's (literally) more than the amount charged by the person I ultimately hired to do the job.    Airco claimed that their proposal provided higher quality materials---which is probably true.  But I could not afford to pay for their projected cost.  This was not for my home; it was for a garage apartment occupied by my elderly mother's tenant.  Airco's  projected cost was equal to rent for the garage apartment for  more than a year.  Neither practical nor possible.

I will say that the diagnostician and later the estimator showed up as scheduled and on time.  They were also professional in their discussions.

If you are looking for the highest quality for a permanent fix for your home Airco may be the place to go.  If you are on a tight budget or, for whatever reason, are unable to justify buying the highest quality option, calling Airco will cost you a fixed diagnostic fee which is money that could go toward paying another provider for a more affordable option.

Basement Waterproofing questions, answered by experts

Statistics show that 98% of basements will experience some form of water damage over time. However, that doesn’t mean all basements will experience severe flooding. The best way to prevent a water-damaged basement is to keep up with home maintenance and have proper drainage installed outside your home to direct water away from the foundation. You can also consider building a flood wall around the house if you live in a flood-prone area.

Yes. Water can penetrate through a concrete foundation wall. This can happen whether or not you have cracks, as concrete is a porous material. You’ll want to take steps to waterproof your basement or crawl space.

You can DIY basement waterproofing in some ways to help save on the overall costs. If your basement isn’t experiencing a lot of water but is noticeably humid, you can try running a dehumidifier that will pull the excess water out of the air. If you notice water leaking due to outdoor drainage issues, you can add downspout extensions to keep rainwater away from your home.

However, if the problem is more severe and requires a more extensive solution, it’s best to call a basement waterproofing professional to assess the treatment you need and install waterproofing safeguards properly. Since keeping water out of your basement is important, ensuring this job is done correctly the first time is best.

Egress windows or doors are required in finished basements to meet safety and building codes. If your basement is unfinished and used as a storage space, egress windows are not required, but anything considered a habitable space must have an additional point of egress in addition to the stairs.

Yes, you can enclose your crawl space. Enclosing your crawl space can promote energy efficiency and reduce the risks of pests and mold by limiting factors like humidity. It can also reduce heat loss, which is why doing so for the winter can make your home more comfortable.
