  • DAVE'S TREE SERVICE
    5.0
This is the second time we have used Dave's Tree Service. They responded quickly to our request for quotation (messages could have been a little clearer at times) and to our voicemails/phone calls. They were able to do the job within a few days and did a great job trimming our birch tree. The worker who started the job was kind enough to pause when a deer and her doe moseyed into the yard and stopped right under the tree. :) After they finished trimming our birch, Dave offered to cut branches overhanging our garage from our small crab apple tree. We had asked for a quote to have it completely cut down but were hesitant to go ahead with it (well, my husband was). It looked much better after Dave quickly cut a few branches. Appreciated Dave's eye for trimming and his offer to do so without adding to the cost. We highly recommend Dave's Tree Service

  • Brian's Tree Service

Brian responded quickly to my request for an estimate and also for work to be done. He and his team were professional, polite, and friendly. They removed two large maples, one tall pine, and a large limb growing over my home. The arborist, Eric, was incredible. He made the work look easy, although you know it wasn't. The team removed all branches and wood, even blowing the tree cuttings off the roof, and raking all debris. The took a large limb that had fallen over the winter which was too large for me to move and was just laying in the back of my yard - thanks!! They also cut some branches for me for firewood. Thank you for a job well done. It is obvious Brian and his team take pride in their work and that job safety and customer satisfaction were top priority for Brian

Brian and Team were excellent as always! We had a more urgent need with the holiday weekend that they were able to readily accommodate. The tree liter was quickly cut and removed. Cleanup was immaculate - looks even better than before the tree incident. Brian took his time to provide useful advice on several things including wood storage. Thanks again for the great service, and we look forward to future service with you

They inspected my trees the same day I called and quoted a reasonable price. They came out the next day and did an excellent job removing the trees from my lot. They even cleared the debris from my attempts at cutting!

It went great! Sean climbed up each of our trees and meticulously trimmed them, making them more beautiful and healthy than we’d ever seen them. Sean is hard-working, professional and extremely good at what he does. And because he does the work of climbing the trees, no huge trucks ruining our grass. Last week, he drove by on his way to our neighbor’s home and noticed we had a branch that had broken off in a recent storm and it was hanging precariously over our yard. He rang our doorbell to tell us he would come back in a few hours to get it down for us. And he did. Sean is the best at what he does. You won’t be disappointed. Oh- and the bonus is the spectacular show of talent, as we watch him climb high into our trees

Tree Service FAQ

  1. How much does it cost to remove a tree?

Answer: Typically, tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000. Tree removal costs vary widely based on the number of trees being removed, the height of each tree, the diameter of each tree trunk, and accessibility to the tree. Smaller trees are usually less expensive to remove than larger ones, as are those that are more easily accessible.

  2. Do you need a permit to cut down a tree?

Answer: In many areas, you don’t need a permit to cut down a tree on your own private, residential property. But some municipalities may require tree removal permits for conservation purposes or to comply with local ordinances. When you hire a tree removal pro, they’ll be able to tell you whether you need a permit for your specific tree removal project.

  3. When is a good time to trim trees?

Answer: In most regions, the best time to trim your trees is during the winter months. During the active growing season (spring through fall), trimming your trees can leave them more vulnerable to disease and less likely to thrive. During the winter months, when trees are dormant, trimming them will cause less stress and leave them ready to grow again in the spring.

  4. What is the average cost to cut a tree down?

Answer: Tree removal costs between $200 and $2,000 per tree. Establishing an average cost can be difficult because each tree will be assessed and priced based on factors like height, trunk diameter, and accessibility. In general, smaller trees cost less to remove than larger trees, as do trees that are more accessible.

  5. How much does it cost to service a tree?

Answer: The cost to service a tree is typically between $430 and $1,320. The cost to service a tree depends on several factors, including what exactly you’d like done, the tree’s height, its health, the location of the tree, and local labor costs. The national average cost for tree services is $865. Tree trimming isn’t necessary for all trees but can improve their health and longevity by encouraging new growth.

  6. What is the difference between tree trimming and pruning?

Answer: While tree trimming and tree pruning might appear similar to the untrained eye, they serve different purposes. Tree pruning is used to thin a tree by removing unnecessary or burdensome branches. Tree trimming promotes healthy growth by trimming but not removing branches.
