Customers say: Quick response

"They did a great job! Got a great quote from Mike (owner) ,. I followed up a few days later to confirm, and they showed up the same day to remove the tree. I was very happy for their rapid response since the tree was leaning towards my powerlines. If the tree fell, it would have ripped out the electric lines and would have been much more costly to repair. Mike and his crew were fast, efficient, and friendly. Will hire them again soon to remove more damaged trees."

"We need four of our trees trimmed, not removed. We had them out for an estimate and their prices were very competitive. The thing that sold us was that they were able to come out 4 days after giving us the estimate. They showed up on time with all their equipment and personnel. They took 3 hours to expertly trim our four large trees. They completely cleaned up after they finished. Their equipment was state of the art. My wife and I are very happy with the job performed. We would recommend them anyone needing tree trimming."

Tree Service questions, answered by experts

Salt, herbicide, light deprivation, boiling water, and burning can all help dissolve a tree stump. You can also bury the tree stump in soil or mulch to help it rot naturally. Killing a tree stump prevents future regrowth, but you may also remove it by digging it out or grinding it.

Completely topping a plum tree is a risky business. Cut too much, and you’ll kill your tree. That said, you do need to trim the top of your tree to encourage bushy growth, maintain your tree’s vase shape, and limit size.

A plum tree's central leader (or trunk) should never extend more than 3 feet above the highest branch. When you first plant your tree, cut the central leader so it’s 2 to 3 feet tall. As it grows, cut it back 12 to 20 inches until it reaches its desired height. Never prune more than one-third of the new growth.

Before you cut down a dead palm tree, try to revive it using the methods listed above. However, there are instances when it makes sense to remove a dead palm tree, including:

  • The heavily infected tree will infect nearby trees, bushes, and plants.

  • The palm’s roots are overtaking your yard, foundation, and sidewalk and causing structural damage.

  • The tree is unstable and a hazard to your property, your neighbor’s property, and pedestrians.

Palm tree removal can cost anywhere between $100 and $1,800 depending on palm size, tree condition, labor, location, and the amount of prep work involved. With the necessary skills, a DIY palm tree removal for trees shorter than 15 feet can lower costs. However, it’s generally recommended that you hire a palm tree expert for tree removal.

A chainsaw is the best tool to cut down a tree, but you may also use a handsaw or ax. You may also want to use a lopper or pole saw to remove limbs before cutting down the tree. Wear chainsaw chaps and protective gear, including eyewear and earplugs if you use a chainsaw. Again, if you’re unsure about how to use this tool, this project may be one to skip.
