There were a lot of corners cut on the roof and siding when this house was built and those problems have been taken care of now which is a relief. I spent a lot of time researching and talking to 6 different companies before I made a decision. My goal was to never replace the roof or siding on this house again no matter how long I decide to live here so it was important to me that it was done right and I was worried about it. I had a lot of questions and requested some changes plus there are always extra things that creep up and need to be addressed that have nothing to do with the primary job like fixing the deck flashing. Gary, Dave and crew were patient, professional, knowledgeable and reliable. Communication was really good. All of my concerns and extras were addressed without me having to ask again or give reminders. Timeline was good. Cleanup was good. Price was good. I am impressed with the way this company operates. We compared 5 contractors before selecting Home Exteriors. We believe price and quality workmanship would have been comparable but what differentiated Home Exteriors was the value of the materials used, better for the same price as other contractors. The professionalism of each of his crews was fantastic and they all did a careful cleanup after each phase of the job. The quality of workmanship exceed my expectations because they caught things that I wasn’t looking for, and I’m rather picky. After the job was done, there were a few minor things missed and Gary sent someone promptly to take care of them. They took our money in January but they did not do the work. They said they would order siding. They said they ordered the wrong siding so that we need to wait for another week again because they needed to reorder it. We called several times and they were not returning our phone calls. We called 3 different persons from the company and we haven't heard anything from them. The last time we heard from them was last Tuesday when they said they would deliver the container after that we heard nothing from them.

I chose Ken’s Parkhill Roofing because they were highly recommended by the city inspector and also by a respected general contractor. John arrived within a few days of my call to write the estimate. The owner, Ken, honored my timetable for the job. The crew arrived promptly each day and worked continuously with only a break for lunch. John, Greg, Shannon, and crew were very professional and answered all my questions. Along with the new roof, Parkhill installed three ridge vents and the corresponding smart (soffit) vents, replaced several areas of rotted plywood, and installed and connected a bathroom exhaust vent. Due to the roofline configuration, the roof, vent, and gutter/downspout installation was very tedious, but the 10-man, 6-truck crew did a great job. They also installed an additional downspout in the area above the front door, which seems to have resolved a water issue in the basement directly underneath - an unexpected bonus! The work took three days to complete, two for the roof and one for the gutters, gutter guards and downspouts. The crew did a thorough clean-up each day. Ken called personally after the job was completed to make sure I had no concerns. After several heavy rainstorms and a big snowstorm, there are no leaks. I highly recommend Parkhill and would hire them again.

After talking to friends and looking at online reviews, I contacted White Glove Exteriors for an estimate to replace the entire roof of our house due to its age. John Ernst, the owner, worked closely with my wife and me and answered all of our questions. He was very easy to work with and was exceptional at returning phone calls and text messages in a timely manner. Upon request, he provided several references in our area for us to contact regarding a similar type of work. His pricing was totally transparent as he provided all costs up front which included a material list, labor, dumpster fee and his profit margin of net 20%. On the day of installation, the roofing crew arrived on time, did an excellent job and the work was performed in a timely and professional manner. Prior to starting, the bushes and shrubs surrounding the house were covered with tarps which caught most of the debris from the removal of the old roof and the installation of the new one. When they were finished, the tarps were picked up and the surrounding area of the house was inspected several times to check for any remaining debris. After the new roof was completed, Mr. Ernst followed up by phone as well as a personal visit to make sure we were completely satisfied. Due to our positive experience with the new roof, we’ve scheduled White Glove Exteriors to replace the siding on our home as well. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking to replace their roof.
