"Carifa Tile did an amazing job on my kitchen job. Joe was extremely communicative and helpful every step of the process. His team did incredible work putting in a glass tile backsplash along with LED lights under the cabinets. We have a small kitchen in our condo, but the tile and lighting really makes it look spacious and luxurious. Would absolutely work with them again in the future."

"It was wonderful working with Yordy and his team. They were very professional and are experts in what they do. They have completed the work on time, with better quality and with in fairly reasonable price. We just started with backsplash work , but liking his work, we went on to provide more jobs to him like getting the hardwood tiles replace in the living room and tiles replaced in the all 3 bathrooms. All the jobs were perfectly finished. I would strongly recommend to hire Yordy and his team."

"We are extremely pleased with the work that was done. Tim was very professional, worked in a timely manner and left my house clean at the end of each day. He helped me with the tile design and questioned me, when needed, to make sure he was doing what I wanted."

"Paid them to tiles my kitchen floor and painted my bathroom ceiling. Never finished the job. Plus he has the keys to my Ford Expedition. He promised to give me my money back. Now he wont answer the phone. I would not recommend 3PC."

Backsplash Installation questions, answered by experts

For best results, you should remove the toilet in a bathroom before removing tile or installing new tile. If you don’t remove the toilet, it will be harder to fully waterproof the tile around the toilet, which could increase the risk of mold growth or plumbing leaks. If you have trouble removing the toilet, hire a plumber to help.

The best types of tiles for a shower are ceramic and porcelain tiles. These materials are durable, water-resistant, and easy to maintain, making them ideal for wet environments. Porcelain tiles are slightly more durable than ceramic. Both options come in a wide variety of styles, so you can achieve the perfect look for your bathroom.

The number of boxes of tile you need depends entirely on the amount of tile in each box or case. Different manufacturers package their tiles differently, and boxes contain different amounts of tile depending on the size, shape, and material. Often, the amount of area that a case will cover is listed in the product description. To calculate the number of boxes you need, take the total square feet of the space and divide it by the number of square feet the box will cover.

No, when done correctly, removing the tile shouldn’t damage the subfloor. However, if there was pre-existing damage to the subfloor from standard use or lack of maintenance, the subfloor may need repairs. For example, if the contractors notice mold growth on the subfloor or an uneven surface, you may need more extensive services before installing new tile.

If you DIY tile removal, remove the tiles one step at a time, individually removing the tile, grout, and mortar to prevent unnecessarily damaging the subfloor. Depending on the age of your home, consider having a professional inspect the subfloor to ensure it’s in good enough condition to lay new tile.

You can attach tiles to a wall using thin-set mortar. You’ll also need a notched trowel to create grooves within the adhesive so it flattens completely when pressed in and securely holds the wall tiles. Finally, you’ll need grout to smooth the gaps between the tiles and, ideally, a grout sealer to prevent mold. While it sounds simple enough, proper planning and execution are crucial, so carefully review the steps in this guide or hire a pro tile installer to complete this project.
