"I contacted and hired the Plunger Plumber because of uncontrollable leaking piping system. When Matt Technician arrived, he found that the water valve was faulty and needed to be replaced. However, he found that the root cause of the water leaking issue was the main shut-off valve was located outside somewhere in the devil stip. Therefore, the City of Akron was responsible. Since was found that it was actually Akron's property and responsibility it ignited a whole different issue while the pipes were still leaking. This issue had taken a different course of direction and problems. It was known that the City of Akron had to shut off replaced their old and faulty valve system. This a life of its own. In any event, Matt the technician handled this three-day issue with the utmost of expertise and professionalism. I could not have asked for a more friendly and confident plumber than Matt. "This company is a joke. Steve is a snake oil salesman who pressured us into a $10k job. He came out and misdiagnosed the problem resulting in him switch the plans several times. When it came time to get the work done, my brother and I had to finish the job. If your job is to take water from the foundation how is exterior work not included in the quote. Furthermore, Steve has ZERO man management and LIMITED knowledge of his field. His crews have no idea what they're doing, and his front office is a joke. I had to explain to them that they do indeed make male pipe fittings despite Steve and his associates persistence that they don't. If it's a choice of having water in your house or working with these jokers l'd recommend just letting the house fill with water. Pathetic, unprofessional, and a waste of time and money. SMD Stevie."

Well pumps need power to run, so they can’t function without electricity. If your power shuts off, there can sometimes be enough pressure in the water tank to allow for a lucky flush or a bit of tap water—but this won’t last long. It’s a good idea to have a backup generator or an alternative power source like solar if you’re worried about losing power.

It may be time for a well pump replacement if you notice some red flags, like a lack of running water when the pump should be working, consistently poor water pressure, or dirty water, which can indicate potential issues with your pump's functionality.

Another common question is, what pressure should your well tank be set at? The standard rule of thumb is to set your well tank’s pressure at 2 psi below the cut-on point of your pressure switch. So if your well is set up for a high cycle of 40/60 psi, your pressure should be set to 38 psi. If you use a low setting of 30/50 psi, you would set the pressure to 28 psi.

Both can deliver clean water to your taps, but well water and city water carry a few differences. City water is delivered and connected through a main water line, and it travels through a network of underground private and public pipes to service various buildings and structures once it’s been treated.
