"My 3-year old gutter sprung a major leak along the seam, causing water damage to the connecting fascia board. The gutters were no longer under warranty and the original installers wanted my firstborn to repair it. Gary quoted a much lower price so I hired Lance Roofing to fix the leak. On inspection Gary determined the problem was not the gutters but within the roof valley. He painted and installed the new boards, but since the roof was still under warranty through another company he instructed me to call them. As it turned out, the problem actually was with the gutter and not the roof; some nails had pulled loose by ice storms over the winter, the gutter had separated, and it only needed reseated/resealed. After a bit of haggling the original roofer finally agreed to complete the work and fixed it for free.
Although Lance Roofing didn't fix the leak as I'd anticipated, they did an incredible job on the board replacement and I found Gary's down-to-earth approach very refreshing. They're punctual, reliable, highly professional and an excellent company to work with. They really care about their customers and I would defintely hire them for any future roofing needs.

We had to wait for better weather to add the gutters after installing the metal roof, but it was no problem. Can't control the weather. "Our house is over 120 years old. We hired Allstate Exteriors to replace our roof and reinforce the structure of the roof where there were some weaknesses. Over most of the house, Allstate replaced the shingles with a metal roof. A portion of the roof is flat and Allstate replaced the deteriorating rubber with an improved covering. The roof on the front porch was sagging, so Allstate deconstructed the roof and then rebuilt the roof with proper LVL beams to prevent sagging in the future. The roof over the main part of the house had sagged a bit over the 120+ years. We hired an engineer who recommended the addition of several collar ties and other supports. Allstate understood the engineers instructions and installed the supports. All of the work described above took less than one week. They hauled away all of the debris, and checked the work to ensure that it was done correctly and to contract. All of the people we interacted with were knowledgeable, professional, and polite."
