Wonderful. Dana and Jimmy were terrific workers. They secured the areas well with plastic to diminish the dust, they were punctual, professional, kept me very informed of the process, great communication about arrival times, kept the area clean when finished each day, enjoyed their work and worked very well together. The results were beautiful. We are very happy!

Our job required significant hardwood patches, and Jim’s team was definitely up to the task. They completed all the patch work in a day, and all the work blended in with the original wood once the stain was applied. Throughout the process, we were impressed by Jim’s accessibility and willingness to answer our questions. Likewise, the sanding and staining process was easy. We were only out of the house for two nights while the stain and finish was applied (although Jim said we could have stayed). The real measure of the quality of Stewarts’ service, however, was in a follow-up. A few days after the job was complete, we discovered a damaged piece of flooring while moving furniture. What we found was that the damage was caused by insects prior to the piece of wood being installed more than 70 years ago. The sanding and refinishing thinned out the surface of the wood, and normal traffic had caused a slight cave-in, about 2 inches long. Jim immediately offered the remedy the problem, free of charge (even though the cave-in didn’t happen until after the completion of the job). Despite the floors being completely finished, he sent his patch team and his refinishers to remove the damaged board, sand, stain and finish it. This was done within a week. Stewarts is a courteous, family-owned business that we wholeheartedly recommend. Because they’re a small operation with jobs throughout central Ohio, don’t expect immediate availability. We were patient and, within 3-4 weeks, we had beautiful refinished floors at a reasonable price!

I am so happy I went with Stewarts as I had gotten several estimates, as well as checked references, BBB, and Angie's List. I was completely sold on Mr. Stewart's integrity when I first met him and his candid remarks about the job. I asked to have him do the work, but got the next best thing his son and a long-time family friend who has worked in the business for a long time. Very pleased having two very nice guys do my work and knowledgeable. I boarded my toy poodle for a couple of days, and went swimming all day the first day, so surprised when I got home to see the clean floors it only got better from there. I would highly recommend this reputable family business to anyone.

Jim came out to give us a quote for refinishing all of the hardwood floors on the 2nd floor of the house including the stairs. He was on the same page as us as far as leaving the wood natural. He provided a good explanation of what the process entailed.
I was able to schedule the work to be done in 2 weeks from when I decided to use Stewart's, which was great since I also need to schedule painting before we could move in.
Dana and Mike arrived on time the first day and got right to work. They cleaned up after themselves at the end of each day and answered my questions when I had them. After they were done and I was able to go upstairs to see the finished floors, I was stunned at how beautiful they looked. We had pulled up carpet and there were some water stains, and of course, the myriad holes from staples and nails, but none of that was visible except on the stairs.
The only issue I have is something that I didn't notice until a couple of days later. The baseboards and trim on the staircase were noticeably scratched by the sander at each tread. That is something we can deal with on our own. It will be a long time before we get over the beauty of the floors.

Agreed on a price and the work that needed doing before Christmas 2014, scheduled for the guys to come and no one showed, I called multiple times before getting an answer, the contractor claimed they tried to call multiple times, there were no voice messages or caller ID #'s showing up. A contractor finally came to do the repairs, he stayed for 40 minutes and left with minor work done, an invoice for $1500 was passed to my wife from the contractor , he claimed he could not complete the job as he needed to sand the floors ?? well yes, that's why we agreed to pay $1500.
The owner claimed that we misunderstood our agreement and did not charge me any money, the work was never completed.

It was an excellent experience, and the floors look fantastic. Stewart's completed the work in 3 days and were on time each day. They cleaned up each day and applied 3 coats of water based poly. The repaired a number of tack and nail holes left from previous carpet installations. This was 1 1/2 inch 3/4 inch thick red oak and now it looks like new. Very pleased.

The crew that worked on my home, kept in contact with me. The first day, they were delayed by a few hours because of another job, but called me to let me know. They called me every day when they left in the evening and let me know what they had done and what still needed to be done. They were very polite and worked hard. My floors are gorgeous! Everyone that sees them goes "wow, looks like brand new floors." The main thing is that I love them!! Also the first day, after sanding an area, they applied two different finishes, so I could choose which one I liked best.
They are based out of Columbus but work all around in the adjacent counties, and in the same week they had 3 crews working in Urbana, Champaign county, Ohio.

We were pleased with the estimate and the knowledge Jim had to advise us. We scheduled a start date and they were prompt. Took a week and WALA we love the end product. We dealt with one guy throughout the week, and as he said, "I'm happy when she's happy". Great job, with our recommendation.

I emailed Stewart's floors from their website and they called me the next day to schedule an estimate. They came out the same day and provided me an estimate on the spot. It is a 4th generation, small, family owned and operated company. This was appealing to us and Jim was very kind and knowledgeable and I enjoyed speaking with him during the estimate. Once the remodeling was done in our home about 3 weeks later I emailed Stewart's to let them know we would be ready to start our floors in the next week or two and wanted to check on their schedule. I didn't hear back so I called a few days later. I spoke with Betty and she informed me that she would call me back the next day. I didn't hear from her so I called back again Wednesday and left a voicemail in the evening. Still no word until she called at the end of the week to say she was waiting to call me because they needed to see how the jobs panned out over the week to know when they could start. I totally understand that, but if you tell someone you're going to call them Tuesday you probably shouldn't wait until Friday. Even a call to say that they woudln't have an answer until Friday would've been great. I just assumed they were too busy and didn't want the work so I had to take my time to call and get an estimate from another company in the mean time when I didn't hear back all week. We selected a date for them to start and as promised they gave a 30 minute call ahead on a Monday before arriving at the house. Again, Josh and his crew were very knowledgeable and we enjoyed speaking with them. Josh even called me at the end of the day to check in and tell me how things went and when they'd be back. This blew me away- awesome customer service and something I hadn't experienced from a contractor before. I had to pause the process by one day on Friday because I had a scheduled appointment to get our ducts cleaned. This really seemed to mess things up and it added multiple days to the process. They were supposed to come back Saturday or Monday and I never heard back from them as to when they would return. Again, I called the office and couldn't get a clear answer for quite some time. They showed up Tuesday or Wednesday and started the rest of the floors. To be fair, we did add two additional rooms to the job, so I understand that adds extra time. Overall, the floors look great and the price was very competitive, but the communication efforts could really use some improvement. I would recommend Stewart's and was very satisfied with the overall finished product, but the process to get there was more painful than I would've liked. The delay ended up pushing back our move in date back by a week, which wasn't the end of the world, but was a hassle.

They left brushmarks in my floor. They put the polyerthane down on the floor but it didn't cover the entire floor. They took a paint brush and try to paint the polyerthane on the floor to finish up the uncovered spots. I then had to hire another company to fix the floor.
