"Warning to anyone who hires this company. Will (the owner) was quick to reply to a request to build a deck, he came out gave an estimate and returned quickly to get a deposit to get started. I haven't seen him since. I have a record of all the communication between him and I and it's too much to write in here but all I can say is that in 9 months all I have is holes that his crew dug. I have asked for my money back numerous times, and now he won't reply to my texts. I was always next on the list (for 9 months). Don't want this to happen to others and at this point I just want to get my deposit back. Obviously would NOT hire again. He gets one star because I had to click something."

"They are a great contractor! They were always quick to respond to my emails and provided detailed information and clear explanation in every communication. This was very important for us because we reside in West coast managing our rental property in Ohio. (We were surprised to hear back from them on weekend and very late at night in their local time.) The whole process from getting a quote and scheduling to obtaining a permit from the City and execution of the project went very smoothly without any delays, miscommunication, or errors. They gave me a daily report with photos, and we are extremely satisfied with their work. We received cost estimate from multiple contractors at first, and we decided to go with A-1 Quality Carpentry because they responded swiftly and their pricing seemed reasonable. (One contractor gave me more than doubled) We would recommend A-1 Quality Carpentry to everyone who is planning to hire a decking contractor."

"I needed new gutters and new facia boards installed. I also had additional splash guards and leaf guards installed. Their team was very efficient at installing the gutters and they work as well as I hoped. I have very obviously rotten wood in two areas behind the gutters. I had discussed this with both the person that came out to quote the job in advance, and with the crew lead before they started work, and a 2nd time with the crew lead as they were putting up the gutters later in the day. One of the rotten pieces is in the middle of a 30 foot run of gutters. I called one of the managers after the gutters were installed, and they sent a single person to try to correct this issue. The service tech was able to repair the rotten wood after the multiple trips."
