"We had searched for the right person do our wood floors. Then we met Dave and his crew. Dave is a Pro's pro. He is meticulous about his work. He is a craftsman of floors. Along with his son Adam and Uriah they are an AMAZING team. The floors are beautiful and all I do is dust mop them. Today I washed them with a little Murphy soap and I once again saw his craftsmanship. We picked him when I told my husband when someone can put their name on the company title they must be good .My husband is a perfectionist and he smiled as they worked. We are still smiling. If you want a company that you can trust. Kelco is the one! From the first phone call to Stephanie and her great customer service and always responded to all our questions... to the finish product. Dave, Adam and Uriah thank you for your hard work, your beautiful floors and for showing respect for us and our home. Thank you Beverly for checking on the crew and bakery for all of us. Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

It depends on what’s important to you. For instance, if you’re looking for the lowest-priced carpet material, consider polyester. Alternatively, you could go with olefin (also known as polypropylene), another synthetic carpet material that costs about the same as polyester. Otherwise, if durability is the priority, nylon or wool would be a better choice.

Not sure what you need? A local carpet installer can explain the difference between various carpet types and help you decide what’s best for your home.

If you’re having your flooring professionally installed, both cork and bamboo are natural options that ring in at an affordable price. These flooring materials may cost as little as $2 or $3 per square foot (for comparison, some hardwood floors cost upward of $20 per square foot), and they’re also sustainable and healthy. Keep in mind that each manufacturer will set their own prices, and labor costs will add to the overall price you pay.

Carpet stretching can be a worthwhile investment to increase the lifespan of your carpet and eliminate unsightly wrinkles, ridges, and ripples. For an older carpet that is in relatively good condition aside from some wrinkling or bubbling, restretching can make it look like new and extend its life by at least a couple of years. You should consider restretching when you notice looseness or other related issues.

However, it's important to note that stretching will not fix issues like stains, wear in the pile, or discoloration. Consider replacing the carpet instead if the repair cost is more than 50% of the price of a new one. Additionally, if your carpet is past its expected lifespan of five to 15 years, or if it has been stretched multiple times already, replacement is likely a better option.

It all depends on what you’re looking for in a floor. Cork flooring is certainly softer and more sound-absorbing than hardwood floors, and the two share very similar maintenance routines. That said, for some homeowners, the pristine appearance of hardwood floors may be more appealing, and they may be less prone to scratches and dents than cork flooring. Hardwood flooring also tends to be more expensive than cork flooring.

The first step in budgeting for carpet is to determine the amount of carpet you need and the type of carpet you want. You might be tempted to opt for the least expensive option if you have a limited budget, but a low-quality carpet won’t last as long as a high-quality one. When accounting for future carpet repair costs, it makes sense to buy the best-quality carpet you can afford.
