"The experience was wonderful. Stephen H and his crew went above and beyond installing our new flooring. He explained everything before and after the installation. They finished the flooring in less time than quoted. Love the floors. Would definitely recommend"

"He was very professional and does excellent work. I had a floor repair and before I could go and pick up supplies for the repair they had already repaired the floor before I returned. They removed the old carpet, repaired the floor, moved the furniture, installed new carpet and cleaned up before moving on to the next room. When I saw them vacuuming the first room before starting on the second room I knew I would forever use this company for all future carpet installations. The added plus was that they were inexpensive too! Thanks again"

"We had searched for the right person do our wood floors. Then we met Dave and his crew. Dave is a Pro's pro. He is meticulous about his work. He is a craftsman of floors. Along with his son Adam and Uriah they are an AMAZING team. The floors are beautiful and all I do is dust mop them. Today I washed them with a little Murphy soap and I once again saw his craftsmanship. We picked him when I told my husband when someone can put their name on the company title they must be good .My husband is a perfectionist and he smiled as they worked. We are still smiling. If you want a company that you can trust. Kelco is the one! From the first phone call to Stephanie and her great customer service and always responded to all our questions... to the finish product. Dave, Adam and Uriah thank you for your hard work, your beautiful floors and for showing respect for us and our home. Thank you Beverly for checking on the crew and bakery for all of us. "Alex and Adam were our installers. They were super efficient, professional and really nice. Before they started any work, they covered anything that could get messy including our floors from the front door to the bathroom. They kept us informed of every step from demo to finish. Highly recommend this dynamic duo."

Flooring Installation questions, answered by experts

If you have a concrete subfloor, you must secure the carpet padding with adhesive or glue. However, if you have a wooden subfloor, use staples instead. Removing a glued-down carpet can be difficult and time-consuming, so it’s best to avoid glue when possible.

Installing carpet on stairs involves a lot more cutting, tucking, tack strips, and time. The shape of your staircase, along with the material and construction of the carpet you’re installing, will also increase the cost. Carpet installation on stairs will cost $400 to $800 in total, but it can go as high as $2,500 for difficult staircases, such as wrap-around, upholstered, or spiral staircases.

The most affordable kitchen flooring option is sheet vinyl due to its low material and installation costs, followed by laminate flooring and vinyl planks. Be sure to get quotes from flooring companies in your area for exact estimates for your kitchen floor. If you let them know that you’re looking for kitchen floor ideas on a budget, they can suggest products and materials within your price range.

If your floor is still sticky after mopping, chances are you used too much or too little of the cleaning solution. Using too little won’t get all of the grime off, but using too much can leave its own residue. Refer to the cleaning solution’s instructions and dilute it as directed.

Most experts agree that the best thing with which to clean epoxy floors is a diluted mixture of ammonia and warm water. You can also use mild dish soap diluted with warm water or a degreaser (such as Simple Green or Goof Off) diluted with warm water. Some soap-based cleaners can leave a haze. If you notice this, further dilute the mixture with water or use a different detergent that does not leave a film. You should never use harsh cleaning chemicals, any type of acidic compound (such as vinegar or citrus-based cleansers), or harsh scrubbers like steel wool or hard bristle brushes.
