So I decided instead of covering up my decent real hardwood floors with the fake stuff or carpet- I wanted to just refinish my nice hardwood floors!! Iâ m so happy I went this route! The work was fine but they looked at my stairs as well as the bedrooms and gave me a quote; then later said they didn?t see the staples on the stairs and wanted to charge me a extra &150 to remove the staples from them. Also wanted to charge me an additional $300 to remove the carpet strips claiming I said I would remove them. I found someone else to remove them that charged me $100. Up charging is not ok with me.

Never put up a barrier between work area and the rest of the house and had sawdust throughout house. Paid to have steps refinished and had white paint sealed in on several steps. Spilled sealer on carpet in front hallway.

Our wood floors turned out beautiful. Robert's customer service was excellent. We were under a tight schedule and Robert met all deadlines and delivered a very nice job.

"Fresh Start" is the perfect name for this business. Our 1925 floors were scarred, and there was a great deal of color variation from previous refinishings and worn away finish. Robert's team took out deep gouges and managed to get the color beautifully even throughout. Our back hall, kitchen, dining room, living room and sunroom floors are now "shiny new." Love the CLEAN look and feel. Robert's quote was significantly lower than the other quotes we got! Great work at the best price

Robert and his brother did an amazing job at removing the old paint,tar paper, and varnish from my 1904 red pine floors. I would have loved for the radiator's to be removed but they said it could cause problems with the pipes. I understood, it's an old house. Even though the color came out darker then we wanted, the over all job was done very professionally. Every day they cleaned up after themselves and fixed a few board that needed attention.
