Carpet One Floor & Home - Mentor

Christy was our sales rep and she was very friendly and knowledgeable about all the products we were looking at for our new floor. Installation was smooth and the installers got it done in just a few hours. We will definitely look into using them for our other flooring jobs. We paid for everything before Installation but because there were a few things on the invoice that we did our selves, they will be refunding us...honesty is so important to us. Thanks Carpet One!

Everything went smoothly. The installers were polite and professional. The quality of the flooring is exactly what we were hoping for. The owner even came out to give us the initial consult. She was great to work with. I highly recommend Carpet One Mentor for your flooring project!

Shoddy workmanship. Sheet vinyl was butchered, had to be torn out, reordered and reinstalled, still with installation problems. The worry free flooring is a joke if it can’t be installed properly in the first place. Hard surface vinyl click flooring had to be reinstalled twice, still with installation problems. After having installation problems with the hard surface flooring we were to afraid to continue with the installation of the carpet.

My experience with Carpet One Floor & Home in Mentor was fantastic! The sales staff was very helpful from the moment I came through the doors. I was referred by a friend, and I'm so glad I was! They had so many hardwood styles to choose from - I think that was my hardest part! The store is much larger than it appears and had a retail section in the basement on deals. When you're building new construction you always want quality, longevity of the products you've chosen, as you're putting your name to it. In addition as the realtor also selling the property, I want that referral and want to sell the best home, with the latest styles! With the vast variety of choices, the ease of ordering, and the excellence of the installation process I can honestly say I can't imagine going elsewhere. I will be a customer for years to come and will send my clients as well.

The installer came right on time. He had all of the equipment that he needed to do the job safely and efficiently. he finished the job before time and went out of his way to give me tips on how to protect the finish of the flooring. He also custom fit and finished some of the trim for a professional custom look. I would highly recommend their warm and courteous service.

The showroom has a huge variety of vinyl (and every other option for flooring as well ). They allowed me to take some samples home to make my choice. The installer was prompt and polite and completed the installation without any problems. When I compared quality and price at a big chain home improvement competitor, I chose Carpet One for the quality of the product as well as the price of installation.

It did not go that well. At first it seemed ok at the store, the person we worked with was cordial, spoke a bit too much, but not a big deal.  She came out to do the measurements and again talked way too much with too much information that was pretty unprofessional talking on personal issues.  My wife and I talked and decided for the money I could put in some nice hardwood floors for the same price in the living room so we decided to just go with the stairs and hallway. I went in to order the carpet and I was paying and I saw the measurement for the carpet and hall way and it seemed a bit small so i asked, "is this correct?  I have measured that area before and this seems a bit smaller than what is required?"  of course i was assured they were accurate with their measurements and everything would be fine.  I said ok maybe there is something i don't know.  The carpet comes in and the schedule was changed a couple times due to installers availability.  Then when they came, they didn't have enough carpet because it was mis measured... just like i had asked originally.  So we had to wait a week with a job half done while they ordered the carpet needed to finish the job. 
Then the person who mis measured never even called to say sorry while we were waiting on her error.  The installers said they would b e back once the carpet came in, should only be a couple days, but nothing firm.  So again the person who was responsible never called, so i called after a couple days and inquired about when it would be installed.  "oh tomorrow"  really tomorrow?  it was COB by the time i called!  were you going to just show up?!  
SO they finish the job, by the way the installers were fine minus the fact you can see the seam in the hallway which is right by the stairs, not really a fan of that since it is in the direct sunlight, but other than that they did a good job.  After the job was finished the sales rep called and essentially didnt own up to the mistake and passed it off on paperwork error.  Really just own up to it, i would have much more respect for that instead of saying it was someone elses fault when entering the numbers. Fact is she spent more time talking instead of measuring so not at all surprised of the outcome.  
The whole experience was less than professional and I highly recommend using another provider.

Great.  There was a small seam line that was coming up and they came out and fixed it quickly.   Removed carpet prior to install as well

They did a good job. There were two persons that came out and it took them 2 days to install the tiles. They tore up the old tile to put down the new tile and it looks very nice. they cleaned up after themselves.

They did a beautiful job and I have no complaints.  We will be hiring them again to do our living room as well!

I am very pleased with them.  We’ve paid half down on it.  I will get it installed in April.

They were professional. I had a difficult floor to remove, and the outcome was good. They do great work.

I am helping my daughter renovate her home. The kitchen floor dated back to the 1960's and was in very poor condition. I have had previous experience with Carpet One in Mentor - they provided and installed both whole house carpet and kitchen tile in my home in 2010. Carpet One has a great selection of all types of flooring. We were looking for kitchen time that would look great and even more importantly ware great (two young children). My daughter selected a wood styled vinyl tile. Carpet One came to her home and measured and provided an estimate. We then scheduled  the work. The installers arrived on time on the scheduled day and did a terrific job - including removing the old tile (a difficult job), installing a sub layer and then installing the new tile. We could not be happier with the result! The cost was per the estimate. What a difference this makes in my daughters kitchen.
I highly recommend Carpet One in Mentor.
