"Outstanding knowledge, fabulous customer service. Attention to every detail. I have had many concrete projects over the years and this contractor was exceptional; they engineered an excellent design to properly slope the rain water flow off the concrete and made sure that the finished job came out perfect. "Excellent Service. Mr. Knox communicated everything up front and was very knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to make sure that my elderly mother's roof was repaired properly. From start to finish I would give him an A+ on all facets of his communication and the company's workmanship. Go with them, you won't be disappointed."

"This was the best experience I have had with Angie's list and having work done. These very nice gentleman came to my home, kindly educated me on what I needed done and didn't laugh when I didn't realize what type of windows I had in my home! They didn't overcharge me and were almost half the cost of the local Powell team that I had powerwash my house in the past. My home is spotless and I really feel like they took their time to make everything look great, even power washing my front walk way to get the mold off for free as well as back patio. They were amazing and you would not go wrong by hiring them!!!"

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

An ideal driveway gradient is between 2% and 5%. Anything lower than 1% or higher than 15% can cause problems for your car or property. A driveway with less than a 1% slope increases your likelihood of flooding and water damage, while a driveway with a 15% grade or higher can be too steep for safe traveling.

The answer to whether or not you need to get a permit before you start your driveway can vary widely based on local ordinances and the scope of your driveway ideas. In most urban and suburban areas, a permit is needed before building a new driveway to ensure that a homeowner is using safe materials and proper drainage practices while designing and constructing a new driveway. In some rural areas, a homeowner may not be required to apply for a permit. When building a new driveway on your own, always check with your local building department to see if you need to request a permit. When hiring a driveway contractor, verify that the right permits are being used before driveway construction begins.

When asphalt cures, it typically changes from a very dark black hue to a lighter, more matte gray color. Cured asphalt also won’t be tacky or sticky to the touch or emit any odors from the asphalt mix. Additionally, the surface of fully cured asphalt won’t deform under any pressure.

Professionals restore the surface to a fresh, attractive finish by applying a new, even sealant layer.

Your driveway contractor will probably recommend that you avoid driving on your new millings driveway for up to a week. Keeping pressure off the freshy applied millings will help the driveway to bind together. While the sun is helpful for binding millings, hotter weather can actually make the curing process take longer.
