"Tyler and Zachary from Century Chimney arrived on time and kept my house as clean as it was before they got here. They used a camera to inspect the inside of the liner, which no other sweep had done before. They found exposed wood that was charred, and an approximately 6" hole in the middle of the system! I had been using this fireplace for several years before I met the guys from Century!! My last sweep didn't find any of these issues. Tyler and Zach just may have saved our lives. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!"

"Bob Thompson (Owner) did a great job tuck pointing my chimney. He also tuck pointed several areas around the house that I pointed out to him and he also tuck pointed other areas that he saw needing this work done. Bob is very professional. He called me prior to beginning the job to let me know the date and time that he would start. Once he started, he provided me with pictures inside the chimney to show the current condition. In addition to tuck pointing the chimney, he applied a acid wash to clean the effervescence that had built up. He also applied a sealer to the chimney. It took him two days to complete the job. He also corrected me from overpaying him based on our contract. He's a good guy, hard working and very honest. I would definitely recommend him to others."

"I called several roofers a few days before I flew out from Los Angeles, knowing there was an issue with one of the two chimneys.
With the rainy storms on their way, I was hoping to get the problem resolved. No other roofers were able to oblige to the urgency of the matter but only Bob, the owner, promised to help me out even with such a short notice. I arrived in Cleveland on Saturday, and two of his guys were there the next day, up on the roof and attended to the issue. Unfortunately, they found more serious problems than initially anticipated. It was beyond their scope of practice and would require a masonry to take care of it. They took pics of the chimneys and showed me where the problems appeared. They were extremely friendly and professional. even though the problem still existed, I'd be very grateful for Bob's genuine help and for sure he'll get all my business in future.
I thought he was working for food for a long time he did not ask for the payment. Eventually, he confirmed that he'd charge me only
$30 to pay for the guys' gas money. What a champ he is.

Chimney Caps questions, answered by experts

If a range hood has minor issues, the average repair costs $85 to $210. This accounts for both parts and labor. More extensive damage can cost as much as $300 to $500, at which point it may be worth considering completely replacing the range hood.

Neglected maintenance can lead to odors, fire hazards, impaired airflow, and reduced range and hood operation efficiency.

A higher CFM will make the price of your range hood more expensive. It can be challenging to speculate how much the CFM rating affects price, but ductless range hoods—that don’t need as high of a CFM as ducted range hoods—are less expensive than their alternative. On average, ductless hoods cost between $100 and $300, while ducted hoods can cost as much as $1,000.

Typically 1-2 hours, factoring in ductwork and electrical connections.

You should contact a local range hood installation professional to install your range hood and do the ductwork. Prices range from $50 to $100 per hour, with the total number of hours required varying based on the project complexity. Simple installations might take an hour or two, while more complicated ones can take four hours or more.
