"Ed and his son repaired our pool and replaced the vinyl liner and opened our pool for the season. They are very experienced and hard working and honest. We are extremely pleased with all the work they did. The pool is an In ground 20 by 40 foot pool of 30,000 gallons. We absolutely would use them again and highly recommend them to fellow pool owners."

"Contracted Matt Charles and Construction Dynamics to renovate our existing inground pool. At the time our almost 40 year old pool did not have a working drain and cracks that caused leaks every spring. Matt basically build a new pool inside our existing pool with all new plumbing. We are very happy with the work he did."

"Brian Kennedy did everything he said he would do and more. Brian was on the job every day early and answered ANY questions we had. Brian and his employee's stayed on schedule even with a rain day. My husband and I were getting estimates and looking for a pool contrator for two years and what really makes Brain stand out is he REALLY works with you and YOUR budget. He does not SELL you what you don't want or need. We have the CL Free system (which we LOVE) no salt or chlorine."

Small jobs welcome

"Zake went above and beyond to get our pool heater installed. From the first phone call, he was professional, polite, and helpful, walking me through every step that may need to be taken and taught me so much that I didnâ t know about our pool and the whole heating system- it is clear he is extremely knowledgeable on pools. He was open, honest, and upfront about costs as well, which is very important to us. Our previous pool heater was very old so he (and the plumber he brought) ran into some unforeseeable issues that ultimately extended the time it took to get the new heater installed and did add some extra material costs, but overall the cost was reasonable given how much extra labor time it took. Overall we had a great experience hiring Zake and are definitely considering him for future services involving our pool. We have had major communication issues with the company we typically have service our pool, and communication with Zake has been nothing but open and easy. I would 100% recommend him to anyone in need of pool services!"

"Great guys and professional. Even though I told them the wrong info about the size of the pool (my bad) they went back and got the correct size cover and had it closed in no time flat. They will be putting a new liner in for me this coming spring. If you are looking for honest people at a reasonable price start here, you won't be sorry."

Pool Construction and Installation questions, answered by experts

Soil testers and licensed excavators are often the professionals you hire if you need a perc test. In some cases, structural engineers will also be able to conduct the test for you. In many municipalities, you’ll need your professional on-site to dig and fill the holes with water, as well as a representative from your local building department or health department. That representative is the individual who will determine whether your test passes or fails.

While concrete walls do not need to "breathe" in the traditional sense of the word, they do require waterproofing and dehumidifying methods, particularly in basements below the water table. Concrete both contains moisture from its initial installation and can absorb water when exposed. Ensuring proper basement ventilation , installing a vapor barrier, and controlling water exposure are all important tasks.

Above all, the downside to building a new house is a longer timeline. You need several months to finish the build, depending on the supply chain and labor availability in the meantime. Building a home compared to buying one is also more expensive, both in the building process and when it comes to mortgage rates and property taxes.

To hire a land surveyor, you need to start by searching online for reputable professionals in your area. Here are a few steps to take when making a shortlist:

  • Browse land surveyor service website

  • Check credentials

  • Read customer reviews

  • Find their contact information

  • Call or email to inquire about more information

  • Ask how far they travel, if you’re some distance away

  • Find out how they charge for their services

  • Ask about schedule and turnaround times

  • Repeat these steps for one to two other services and compare pricing

If you can’t find any records online, you’ll need to contact your county clerk’s office to do further research. They should have property records on file, or can at least point you in the right direction of who to contact. You can also speak with your neighbors about when their houses were built because they were likely built around the same time.
