"Very well. Mr. Shuleva took a whole year before the project was started, but once he got his workers in place, it went very well. In addition to creating a swale that directed floodwaters away from our house, he tied our drainpipes into a drain that took the water away from the house and installed a french drain (I think that's the correct term) around the retaining wall under our prized back porch. He also did some extras, including giving me two nice shrubs (some sort of hydrangea, I forget the name), replanting a dogwood and some heritage lilacs that he had to move in order to do the rest of the work, and reseeding another part of the yard. We get compliments on the work. Looks great, and the grass is coming in nicely."

Rear engines come in at around 5 mph, tractors come in at just shy of 8 mph, and zero-turn mowers come in at the fastest speed of 13 mph.

St. Augustine grass grows fast thanks to its dense mat-like structure and vigorous root system. If you've laid St. Augustine sod, it'll put down roots, get itself established, and start to spread in 14 days.

You can mow the grass when it’s dry to the touch, usually between 2 and 5 hours if it was a light rainfall or morning dew. If the rainfall was significant, you may need to wait up to 2 days until the grass is dry. Touch the grass and soil to determine if it’s dry. Be sure to check in shady areas too, as those can take longer to dry out.
