Small jobs welcome

"Odell the technician was prompt, courteous, knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient. I would welcome Streb back into my home anytime I need electrical work performed. Odell went through the house and did a cursor inspection while I explained the things I needed done. He gave honest input with regards to some simple items that I would be better served doing myself. He covered each item that he could do and their individual costs. Once we determined what he should do, he set off right away and was happy to carry on some light conversation while doing the repairs. It was a great experience and I will make sure to hire them again if I need electrical work done in the future."

"Very professional company and honest, knowledgeable staff. I had received 3 quotes for my project, and their quote was the best, and I felt most comfortable with their staff. I did not have the project completed yet, although when I do, I'll be choosing Advanced Technologies and Electrical."

"DC = Dale Castro, a top-shelf electrician who services my Generac generator, and repaired a faulty outside electric box/switch. Extremely neat wherever he is working, cleans everything, and to boot: he is a super-charged great person. Consider yourself lucky when he is on premise."

Electrical questions, answered by experts

For electrical upkeep in Fairview Park, keep a non-contact voltage tester, insulated screwdrivers, wire strippers, and an outlet tester available. Stock GFCI outlets and weatherproof covers to protect against Ohio’s storms. Surge protectors help prevent damage from power surges. Flashlights and battery-powered lights are essential for outages, and having extra circuit breakers and wire nuts on hand supports quick, safe repairs.

Helpful?

If your Fairview Park home was built before 1960, check for outdated knob-and-tube wiring or two-prong outlets, which signal it’s time to call an electrician. Frequent breaker trips, loose outlets, or lights dimming when appliances run are warning signs. Schedule outdoor electrical work in spring after winter weather, and plan indoor upgrades in fall before heating season for optimal home electrical safety.

Helpful?

Upgrading your electrical system in Fairview Park enhances home safety by reducing fire risks and minimizing outages during severe weather. Modern wiring supports efficient HVAC, which is vital for comfort in both cold winters and hot summers. Adding features like USB outlets or smart switches increases convenience. Updated systems also boost property value and appeal, making your home safer and more comfortable for daily living.

Helpful?

In Fairview Park, electrical issues like sparking outlets, persistent burning odors, or frequent breaker trips should be addressed by a licensed electrical contractor right away, as these signal urgent safety risks. Exterior damage from storms or exposed wiring, especially near HVAC systems, also requires prompt attention. Projects like installing dimmer switches or upgrading lighting fixtures can typically wait, but homes from the 1950s-1970s often need immediate safety updates.

Helpful?

In Fairview Park, proper moisture control and surge protection are crucial due to local humidity and frequent storms. Using quality copper wiring and ensuring all connections are properly grounded—especially in homes with clay soil—improves longevity. Always follow local permit and inspection requirements, and schedule annual electrical safety checks. Professional installation by a qualified electrical contractor is key for reliable, long-lasting results.
