"Terry, Jim, and crew did an unbelievable job with my concrete driveway addition. I’ve used CT in the past as well and they never disappoint. Terry made sure everything was prepped correctly and installed correctly. The team covered my existing driveway and also plastic wrapped my house and generator to ensure nothing splattered on them. I would highly recommend CT concrete to anyone in need of concrete work."

Customers say: True professional

Why work with us? Southern Grove Landscaping was established nineteen years ago, in 1986, by a graduate from Ohio State University who studied in depth what it takes to achieve perfection in your landscape surroundings.\nAward-winning landscapes do not just look good for one season -- an excellent landscape should transcend the season with plants chosen for our Ohio climate and accents of stonework and design variation that command attention. That's our specialty.\nWhile everyone thinks about flowers in the spring and mowing the grass in the summer, your yard needs special attention throughout the year: during the winter delicate plants should be wrapped or transferred inside; in the spring the landscaping always needs extra special care to make sure the plants and lawn start the year off right. Summer heat means that proper watering and fertilization are important to keep plants healthy, whereas in the fall, trees and shrubs begin to go dormant, so transplantation then preven ts shock to the plant and helps to ensure healthy new growth in the spring.\nWe are pleased to announce our nineteenth anniversary of making Columbus and surrounding areas beautiful. We're humbled by the positive response we've had from our clients and we hope to make many more beautiful landscapes for you and your families to enjoy. Give us a call and we will meet with you for a free consultation at your convenience.\nASSOCIATION\nBetter Business Bureau

"When I decided to replace my driveway this year, the first step I took was to look into what is a good driveway. The Ohio Concrete Assoc. (OCA) publishes a pamphlet: “Guidelines for Durable Concrete” which sets the best practices for a quality driveway in Ohio. Mark Rodgers Construction (MRC) had replaced a driveway 15 years ago and some recent work for a new porch for a neighbor of mine. Both looked good, even the driveway from 15 years ago so I contacted Mark Rodgers. Mark Rodgers explained the best way to do things from his experience and best practices which also corresponded with the OCA recommendations. When his crew showed up, they were polite, hard working, and professional and the work was done the way he had explained to me. He also gave me recommendations on the curing process and sealing to keep the driveway looking good. In the end I got a very good looking driveway which meets my needs and is done according to best practices. I highly recommend MRC."

"Anthony and his crew showed up right on time as expected. They went right to work on ripping out all the old concrete. They also helped level the yard and remove anot old tree stump while they had their Bobcat here.

Anthony worked with me on a design for a new patio. We ended up going with stained quarry stone and I love it. We also did a new design on the front stairs and entryway with the same quarry stone.

This is my third house that Bello Disegno has completed concrete jobs on. That includes 3 patios, 5 sidewalks, 1 garage floor and 2 driveways.

They also just completed doing a new driveway for me so I will post pictures and complete a review for that as well."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

At a depth of two inches, a ton of asphalt covers around 80 to 100 square feet. However, the thicker the asphalt, the less surface area it will cover. That’s why measuring correctly is essential when estimating asphalt needs and costs to ensure you get enough material to cover your entire driveway, patio, or other asphalt surface.

The decision to repair or replace your driveway depends on the extent of the damage. If your driveway has a few small cracks, a simple repair will do the trick. If you see larger cracks and potholes, it may be time to consider resurfacing or replacement. Resurfacing is a great option if more than 25% of the surface is damaged, but if the damage is extensive—deep cracks or significant sinking—it’s best to replace the driveway entirely. A new driveway, with proper care, can last decades while patching or resurfacing might only hold up for a few years before needing more attention.

Asphalt is made of aggregate materials (sand, rocks, and gravel) and bitumen, a viscous, petroleum-based, waterproof substance. These materials are mixed together at extremely high temperatures to form asphalt.

A driveway approach is the part of a driveway where the public road meets the private driveway. This section contains several key elements, including the driveway apron, the curb cut, and the end slope. Depending on the slope of the driveway, this area may also contain the trench drain.

When hiring an asphalt paving contractor to install your driveway, ask as many questions up front as possible. Here are a few questions to ask a prospective driveway contractor:

  • How many years of experience do you have?

  • Are you licensed, bonded, and insured?

  • Do you have worker’s compensation?

  • Do you use subcontractors on your projects?

  • Do you clean up after the job is done?

  • Who is responsible for any damage to lawn or landscaping?

  • Do you provide a guarantee or warranty on your work?

  • Do you give free estimates?

  • What is the timeline for completion?

  • How do you handle change orders?

  • Can you provide at least three references?

  • Can I see some of the work you’ve done?
