Small jobs welcome

"Most of what we do is full tear-out and replacement. We remove the old cracked, settling, or spalling concrete, rebuild the base the right way, and pour new. We also handle driveway extensions and widening, aprons and curb cuts, stamped and decorative concrete, and concrete repair.\n\nOur crews have poured more than 38,000 residential concrete projects. Every job gets a dedicated project coordinator, up-front pricing with no surprise change orders, and a final walkthrough before we call it finished. Licensed and insured.\n\nNeed a new driveway? "Anthony Marchi and his crew are hard workers. They dug out the old driveway and carted out the debris in roughly 5 hours and poured the driveway portion the next day. Then after a day of rain, finished pouring the sidewalk and apron even with the helicopter seeds coming off of a nearby maple tree. The finished product looks great. I recommend his company for anyone looking for quality concrete work."

"JC Crete was great. They know exactly what to do and how to get it done right in a time and cost effective manner. I hired them for a big driveway expansion, all concrete and the finished product was beautiful. They got me on the schedule quick & completed the job in two days. I recommend JC Crete & will hire them again."

"Kelvin’s crew poured 56 yards of concrete for a specially designed driveway and a stamped patio in one day. Work was completed professionally, on time and for an excellent price. I hired them again to pour a stamped fire pit pad and couldn’t be happier. Dealing with contractors isn’t always fun so if you need any kind of concrete work, make only one call to C & D Concrete. You won’t be disappointed."

"Great company! The work was done on schedule. Everyone was very nice, courteous and professional. I was totally satisfied with their work and would definitely call them again. They had paved my daughter’s long driveway last summer and their work was perfection."

Asphalt Driveways questions, answered by experts

The average cost to repair an asphalt driveway is around $2,459 to $2,500. However, prices can range from $100 for minor DIY crack filling to over $4,000 for more extensive professional work. Costs are often calculated per foot, with minor repairs costing $1 to $3 per linear foot and heavier damage like potholes, sinking, or crumbling costing $2 to $5 per linear foot. Patching smaller potholes can cost around $2 to $3 per square foot. The final price depends on the severity and extent of the damage, driveway design, local contractor rates, and whether sealing is included. For major repairs, it is recommended to hire a professional, and you may get a better deal by bundling repair and sealing services together.

Building a road on a slope requires careful planning and will normally require a drainage system underneath to prevent flooding and damage to the road over time. Your professional may lengthen your road to create switchbacks if the slope directly to your home is too steep, as there are regulations for maximum road slope. The drainage system will help prevent runoff from the higher side of the slope from damaging the asphalt or concrete. Keep in mind that building a road on a slope isn’t a good DIY project, as a lot can go wrong.

The three most common types of asphalt are hot asphalt, MC cold mix, and UPM asphalt. Hot asphalt is used most often for paving and patching roadways while it’s hot and workable. MC cold mix asphalt cures more slowly than hot asphalt, but it can be used for temporary patches and repairs in low-traffic areas. UPM is also used cold, but it can be used as a longer-term fix, usable in almost any conditions at almost any temperature.

While paving a driveway is possible to do as a DIY project, we don’t recommend it. Hiring a driveway professional to pave it will ensure that your driveway looks neat and clean and lasts for years to come, and it will also prevent a weak driveway and, potentially, damage to your foundation. Paving a driveway requires heavy machinery, and while you can rent the equipment needed, operating it close to your garage slab or around your home’s foundation can crack it and lead to structural issues.

Yes, recycled asphalt driveway costs can be substantially lower than new asphalt. With new asphalt costing between $90 and $190 per ton, this option can cost as much as 10 times more than laying down asphalt millings.
