STEER CLEAR OF RELIABLE BLACKTOP SPECIALISTS!!! Context: About two weeks ago a young man knocked on my door at around 6pm to give me a quote to do my driveway. This was on my list of things to handle in the fall. He had what appeared to be his father in the van waiting while the young man made his pitch. I thought to myself I needed to get this done and if I can negotiate a deal with the young man Iâ ll hire them. They said they could finish the job that day. It would be a win win situation. I had my driveway done and young man would make a sale showing his father he could handle business. I am all about supporting small and family businesses. Well they got me. Not only was the job sub par but they got seal coat all over the stone facia of my house. They missed spots on my driveway. They told me that I could drive on it at midnight. I waited till the next day. I have permanent tire tread marks in my driveway now. I called the number on the flyer the young man gave me who said â hold on to this, it is proof of your 2 year warranty.â Now given their behavior I know they will never honor this warranty. When I called the number and explained the situation the man on the other line said â you can clean it off with gasoline.â I responded to him â why is it my job to clean up a mess you made for a job I paid you to do?â He became rude and hostile. But then agreed to come by the following Monday to clean up. I called on a Saturday. He told me to text him the address and the issue. Monday rolls around. No RELIABLE BLACKTOP SPECIALISTS. I called again later in the week. Same script but different days. I texted him yet again the details because he said they get lost in his string of texts in his phone. We are now on 2 weeks. I have sent him countless additional texts to see if he was still coming to fix the issues. Zero replies. It is clear he has no intention of returning to fix the problem. I will redo the driveway myself. Save yourself the headache and hire someone who is actually â reliableâ

I was at first impressed with the effort they made to reach out to me. Unfortunately I had just got back from vacation Friday night and he called Saturday. I was looking for driveway repair for cracks and rust spots. He talked about alligator cracks versus small cracks. I explained about the holes where the aggregate and rust was coming through I told him about some places I patched in the past. And that I was getting small rocks from this patch all over the driveway and they track inside the house. Wanted that fixed. After over ten minutes on the phone. Convincing me they could get it done that day. I agreed. They came out while we ran out. I came back and they were done. The next morning I went to look at the job and all they did was apply a seal coat over the driveway. Did. It fill cracks. Did nothing to stop the cold patch from coming up. And two weeks later the rust is already coming back. He said it would be years. Sent him pictures. He said give him a few days Over a weeks later and nothing. I suggest not dealing with him over the phone. If you decide to use this company make him come out and explain exactly what he is proposing for your project.

I needed to have my driveway, 17' x 24', sealed, however due to it's condition, I wasn't sure what my options were. Reliable Blacktop Specialist advised they could use an asphalt base sealer with a rubber adhesive to fill in stress cracks. The sealer also has a high bond sealer to prevent further deterioration. I hired Reliable Blacktop Specialists and they were able to schedule me the same day. I did end up having 2 Coats of the sealer put on my driveway because it is in such a poor state. I would recommend Reliable Blacktop Specialists. They showed up when they said. They were kind and professional. The sealer looks as good as it can considering the state of my driveway. I would hire Reliable Blacktop Specialists again.
