(OCA) publishes a pamphlet: “Guidelines for Durable Concrete” which sets the best practices for a quality driveway in Ohio. Mark Rodgers Construction (MRC) had replaced a driveway 15 years ago and some recent work for a new porch for a neighbor of mine. Both looked good, even the driveway from 15 years ago so I contacted Mark Rodgers. Mark Rodgers explained the best way to do things from his experience and best practices which also corresponded with the OCA recommendations. When his crew showed up, they were polite, hard working, and professional and the work was done the way he had explained to me. He also gave me recommendations on the curing process and sealing to keep the driveway looking good. The three serpentine walls hold back the hillside, while providing new planting beds for trees, shrubs, flowers, along with a fantastic lawn area winding around the property.  The loss of 10+ ash trees meant loss of the roots too, with nothing in place to keep the hillside from sliding into a nearby creek, taking the house with it.  This solution fixed the problem elegantly.
Final plantings are in process, using a non-Terra related service.  Even at this stage, have had lots of traffic in driveway, people who want a closer look!
