"Brendan and Dalton responded to my request immediately which was important since our water main was shut down as a result of an emergency shutoff valve failure. We explained the problem, they looked at both areas of concern, and immediately knew what needed done. They went to the hardware store and installed a connector where the refrigerator hose failed and replaced the emergency shut off that failed all within 2 hours of my initial request on Angi. We had water again before the other companies called us back to schedule an appointment. I really appreciated the speed and confidence with which they worked. We took their card and will call them back with any future plumbing issues we have. Thank you so much!"

Fire Pit Installation questions, answered by experts

Costs depend on system type, building size, labor, and regulatory compliance requirements.

You should schedule a fireplace inspection at least once a year, per the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA). However, this is the minimum requirement even if you’re diligent with fireplace maintenance between uses. If you suspect your fireplace is malfunctioning, schedule one sooner to avoid fire hazards or the release of harmful emissions like carbon monoxide in your home.

You can’t gauge the lifetime of a fire door like you could, say, an engine. Fire doors should be checked at least once every six months to ensure there are no signs of degradation like leaks, holes, water damage, termite damage, or anything else that might compromise the functionality of the door’s fire resistance. Check your smoke detectors while you’re at it.

You can let a fire burn out in a fireplace as long as you or someone else will stick around to monitor it until it goes completely out. This may take several hours. To prepare, stop adding fuel to the fire well before you’re ready to call it a night. If you’re using the fireplace for warmth, you’ll want to cover up in some blankets as the flame dies down.

There are several tools available to help prevent electrical fires. First, ensure that you have GFCI outlets installed in necessary areas, along with an AFCI, which is a circuit breaker that can help prevent arc-faults. Investing in surge protectors is also wise, as they can safeguard your appliances and other items against power surges that may overload your outlet and cause sparking.
