"Professional and efficient workers. Pleasant and conducted themselves with dignity. Took some time, but did a few extra things like tying up cords under the sink to keep them out of the way and noting some things that my need replaced in the future."

"Danny Siders of Absolute Kitchens and Baths recently updated our kitchen and our master bath. In the kitchen he installed new Wilsonart High Definition laminate countertops, Nova laminate flooring, a tiled backsplash behind the stove, a new Blanco sink, a new Delta faucet, and new drawer pulls. In the bathroom, he raised the cabinets to a better height, installed new Wilsonart High Definition laminate countertops, new sinks, and tiled the floor and the surround of the garden tub. Under the tile floor, he installed a radiant heater. Several years ago, he redid our shower. He was able to find the same tiles he used in that job so that the bathroom tiles all match. This was a large job and we are very happy with how it looks and of our experience with Danny. Over the last 5 years, Danny has renovated 2 other baths and the sink in the laundry room. We have always been extremely happy with the work he has done. The things I appreciate when working with Danny are the ideas he adds to the projects, the craftsmanship he puts into the project, his finishing touches, and his helpfulness. Danny showed up for the initial consult with books of materials and ideas. He listened to what we wanted and then pulled on his experience to help us decide on the best materials for the job. He was aware of new materials and new techniques. We told him our goals and he helped us choose the best materials for the project. He did not push his ideas but helped us clarify ours. Once the project started, he arrived daily at the same time or told us ahead if he would not be there. He cleaned up at the end of the day and caused minimal interruptions to life outside the work area. He is meticulous in his prep work for the project as well as the actual installation. Seams match, edges of tiles are bullnosed where needed, and colors and stains match what was already in the house. One of the most impressive finishing touches was the kick plates under the cabinets and the edgings of the new floor. He used wood edgings that he stained to match the counters and the existing edges of the floor. It gives the new floor a seamless look with the rest of the house. I appreciate Danny’s reliability, craftsmanship, and his attention to finishing details. Danny was also helpful and persistent when we increased the scope of the project and added some additional flooring. The Nova flooring has become increasingly difficult to obtain and when we wanted the small bathroom also refloored, he needed to order more. It was a challenge finding a source for the flooring and then the first shipment came in wrong. Danny worked through all the hassles necessary to get the floor we wanted. He also fixed sticky drawers and a poorly designed waste basket drawer. Not only does our kitchen look wonderful, but the drawers finally all work as they should. At the very end, two of the flooring boards in the small bathroom slipped. Danny readily came back to fix them for no charge. Thank you, Danny, for your perseverance in getting materials and fixing problems along the way. I also appreciate that Danny will call me back and accepts my decisions without recourse to my husband. I have dealt with other contractors who always wanted my husband to concur or only called back when my husband called. Needless to say, I only worked with them one time. Danny Siders has done beautiful work on our renovations. We are very happy with the outcome and with the ease of working with Danny. I strongly recommend Danny Siders of Absolute Kitchens and Baths for your remodeling job."

"Kevan was very professional, honest and communicated clearly! He listened to my drainage problems I was having and did a thorough inspection to find the problem out. He came up with a scope of work that needed done to fix the problem correctly. His pricing was very reasonable and the problem was correct. I have not had any drainage problems since he was out and did the work! I will definitely recommend him to all my family members and friends."

"We've used Jaime about 10 times. . . . .we don't feel there is anyone else worth calling in the area, can do it all. Ran new electrical box to wall and installed electric fireplace in our finished basement side. Jaime had to get creative as the wall was discovered to be solid and not regular drywall. But he does it like it's nothing. Thanks again."

"Was very pleased with how well M S Puskus Custom Remodel did the entire job went. All work was 100% done by M S Puskus, nothing was jobbed out to outside sources.

.

This century home with one bathroom was extremely lacking in modern features with much wasted space. The plaster and lathe walls were removed as in they were damaged over 95 years and covered with a type of paneling to disguise the cracks. A new pre-hung bathroom door was installed and trimmed out.

.

All the plumbing which had to be replaced and rerouted for the tub/shower, sink and toilet to new locations (hot and cold feed as well as drain for each). As with any century home, when you uncover and move things other issues arise. Structural issues were overcome reinforcing the floor and replacing the drain line/vent stack which was well beyond its usefull years. The years of knowledge M S Puskus has came in handy for solving issues as they came up.

.

All new modern electrical wiring was installed by M S Puskus for overhead light/exhaust fan, sink vanity light and electrical plugs with proper vent to outside installed for exhaust fan installed. Also, a well as a new medicine cabinet was installed.

.

New drywall was installed and finished on walls, all surfaces were professionally primed and painted my M S Puskus.

.

New modern laminate flooring was installed, after recommendations by M S Puskus based on usage, durability and cost. Am very happy with this flooring, and at least three people have seen the finished floor and are in the process of giving their bathrooms a simple makeover with this flooring.

.

New toilet, sink vanity and bathtub/shower were installed. Again, M S Puskus installed all fixtures with great knowledge and ability.

.

Finally the construction of two floor to ceiling linen cabinets were made on site. These were designed to replicate the sink vanity wood work down to the smallest detail, including the doors and trim matching the doors, drawers and trim looking exactly like they came from the factory. The color of the paint was even perfectly matched and finished expertly by M S Puskus.

.

I am very pleased with the final product. A beautiful showroom quality bathroom with fantastic functionality and design. Will be having M S Puskus back for the next remodel job I need for sure!

"After receiving multiple estimates over the course of a month my husband and I were very confused of the various opinions from all the companies. One company wanted to install hollow base molding for $1800.00 and one company wanted to charge us $18,000.00!!! After meeting with Jerry from Buckeye Waterproofing we were very much at ease. He was very patient and very knowledgeable in his profession. He assured us that he could resolve all of our problems for a moderate price. He even got us 0% financing. He also gave us a list of references at out home which we called several of them while he was there and they all checked out. He also said he would take care of all permits and inspections and we didn't need to worry about anything. All in all we made the right decision to go with Buckeye Waterproofing. From Jerry all the way down to the crew that did the work as well as the office staff were very helpful and efficient. Everything went exactly the way they told me it would. I am very pleased and would highly reccomend Buckeye Waterproofing

"Cassidy arrived on time.  He investigated the problem and advised me that air cleaning filter was not operating.  He showed me what the problem was. I decided that the best thing to do was to use a pleated filter, he showed me how to install one.  He was very knowledgeable and polite.  I told him that we would be happy to use RTT heating in the future.

Sink Installation questions, answered by experts

No, you don’t need to use plumber’s putty to install a sink drain. Other options are available, such as silicone putty or silicone caulk. Plumber’s putty is the traditional method and it’s easier to work with and easier to remove. It doesn’t need to dry before using. Silicone putty should dry before you use the drain.

Whether a pot filler is worth it depends on your cooking habits, budget, and kitchen layout. For avid home cooks who frequently prepare pasta, soups, or stocks, the convenience of filling large pots directly on the stove can be a significant benefit. A pot filler can also add value to a home, attracting potential buyers with its combination of luxury and utility. However, the installation can cost around $800. The return on this investment is highest in larger kitchens where the sink is far from the stove. In smaller kitchens, where the sink is nearby, a pot filler might be perceived as an unnecessary feature by some homeowners or potential buyers.

The cost to pipe a sink depends on the location. Generally, you’ll spend somewhere from $150 to $500 installing plumbing under a kitchen sink and $200 to $800 installing plumbing under a bathroom sink. These costs could rise if you don’t have a plumbing hookup nearby and you have to reroute plumbing from outside of your kitchen or bathroom.

Yes, a toilet, sink, and shower can share the same vent. This is a common installation method that can simplify plumbing and save space. However, there are important considerations. The vent and associated plumbing must be large enough to handle the demands of all fixtures without compromising the vent's effectiveness. Additionally, the toilet should always be located downstream of all other fixtures. Because requirements can vary and space might be limited, it is essential to check your local building and plumbing codes and consult with a qualified plumber to ensure the installation is done correctly.

Hiring an emergency plumber is expensive because of the urgency and inconvenience, but there are a few things you can do to help keep costs down:

  • Minimize water damage by shutting off your water main

  • Clean up pooling water immediately to reduce damage and mold growth

  • Avoid using fixtures if you have a clog or septic system backup

  • Verify that your plumber is licensed before hiring

  • Call a few plumbers for estimates if you can afford a short delay in getting service
