"The person that did the work was careful and efficient. We are very happy with the end result. It looks like new. The odor from the coating was pretty strong and took a few days to clear from our bathroom because the bathroom does not have a window that opens If we had been able to open a window in the bathroom the odor would probably have dissipated faster."

We're family owned and specialize in kitchen and bathroom remodeling. We have a great group of professionals who are courteous and take the time to do things right. We also have our very own custom cabinet shop that can create custom cabinets to suit any need.

"We decided to update our 20 year old master bathroom. It involved removing the large jacuzzi tub, expanding the shower, adding a freestanding soaker tub, replacing cabinets, tiling and upgraded lighting. We interviewed several contractors before we decided to go with Phil Baker, Baker Group Remodeling. What led us to Phil initially was all of his positive reviews. Our initial meeting with Phil was very positive and we were also impressed that he personally custom builds the cabinets. We felt very comfortable with Phil's project manager, Jesus, and his team. They were friendly, very hard working and did quality work. Communication was a big issue with former contractors, but not with Phil and team. Their communication was consistent and we were kept up-to-date regularly. The end result far exceeded our expectations. The project was completed on time and on budget, considering a few tweaks and changes made along the way. If you are looking to have a remodel completed or new cabinets built, I would highly recommend Baker Group Remodeling."

"From start to finish, my experience with Rogers Basement Waterproofing was the the kind of experience we all hope for when hiring a professional. I contacted Rogers initially to get an idea of how to start addressing external moisture issues around my home’s foundation. My plan was to start by having new downspout/sump drainage lines installed, but my goal was to find a trusted company I could have confidence in for addressing future foundation/basement issues that are inevitable in aging homes. Shortly after my initial call, Nick contacted me. At our appointment he arrived promptly and took the time to listen to all my concerns. He was so knowledgeable, patient, and easy to communicate with. He answered my millions of questions, and I never felt rushed or pressured. In fact, I felt so impressed with that consult that I signed a contract on the spot—something I never do—for installation of drainage lines. The day before the scheduled work, Nicole—the Office Manager—contacted me to confirm and answer any questions I might have. I did have a request concerning one of the lines, and she relayed that request as soon as our call ended. Within minutes, I was contacted by Nick that my request was noted. Which it would very expensive to do Also, replace tiles and grout. Replace our ceiling, the shower was leaking into our ceiling. Which they replace as well."

Porcelain countertops are slightly more affordable than quartz. Most quartz countertops cost $50 to $200 per square foot, whereas porcelain typically costs $50 to $70 per square foot. However, lower quality builder’s grade quartz is similar in price to porcelain. This type of quartz contains more resin and fillers, making it less vibrant.

The time it takes to retile a bathroom includes the installation time for the grout and tile, prep work, and waiting time. The waiting time allows the mortar, grout, and caulk to cure correctly.

A professional tiler can finish your bathroom tiling in about 6 to 8 hours. Add another 24 hours in between steps, for 2 to 3 days before the tiling is done.

Generally speaking, it is better to cut tile wet when using a fast-moving wet saw to reduce dust and chipping. However, tile can be cut dry when using just about any cutting tool. Dry cutting will result in a bigger mess and may increase the risk of chipping or cracking, but if you’re just making small cuts, dry cutting is a safe and viable option. Cutting dry also means you can apply tile grout sooner, so it’s better for rushed projects.

Tile shouldn’t be set tight against the tub. Bathtubs can expand when filled, and they can shift slightly with the weight of occupants. For this reason, it’s important to leave a slight gap between the bathtub and the first row of tile. Aim for a narrow gap of approximately 1/16 of an inch, filled with caulk, to allow for this expansion and movement while still allowing for tile shower waterproofing.

Ceramic tile can be slightly less expensive than porcelain pavers. You can find outdoor ceramic tile for as little as $1 per square foot, but high-end options tend to cost the same as porcelain.
