fine cuts carpentry & construction llc is a one man business started in 2015. my name is brandon saum i have 6 years of construction based back round. i have recently been involved in remodeling a building (built in 1875 )owned by THE WOOD COMPANY . this building was demoed down to the masonry and floors everything else was completely rebuilt. leafy dale is the name of the building located in the short north. i took part in every construction detail required to pass the buildings weekly inspections. i took the foreman position for Superior finishes (lead contractor on the job)during this time of remodel. throughout my experience in life i found myself leaning towards my own business and future so here i am! i may not be the biggest company out there but 100% focused on pride and quality.

"As we have stated above, Brandon and his crew did an excellent job. We wouldn’t call anyone else. His honesty and love of the work are his strongest gifts."

Rototilling questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can rent a rototiller for around $60 per day and do the work yourself, but it’s not recommended. Tilling is more of an art than a science, as tilling too deep can be detrimental to your soil structure and the organic matter that is beneficial to plants and shrubs, and tilling too shallow won’t properly introduce fertilizer or break up the soil for rooting plants. Additionally, tillers are powerful machines with sharp blades to cut through small roots and soil, so they are inherently dangerous to use. It’s usually worth it to hire a professional rototiller.

Professional equipment adapts to different terrains, ensuring thorough aeration across all lawn areas.

While parts of the appraisal are out of your control, there are some things you can do to potentially raise the home’s value. You can make necessary repairs and upgrades before the appraiser visits—an appraiser can only value what is currently part of the home, not its potential. You can also provide the appraiser with the cost of recent upgrades. The appraiser will likely increase the value of your home by about 50% or more of what you paid for those improvements.

It depends on the model of your pool. You’ll always have to level the topsoil, but most vinyl-lined pools require an additional 1- to 2-inch layer of sand to protect the liner. This way, when a foot kicks down to the bottom of your pool, it’s not scraping the liner against the hard ground. If your pool isn’t vinyl-lined, you can skip this step or add a layer of another base material, like decomposed granite. Always check your manufacturer’s instructions before you begin.

Periodic checks for erosion and proper drainage function ensure lasting results.
