John Hoover

John was quick, professional, and worked around some really bad work by an old contractor. I'm saving his number for future projects for sure.

Mr Hoover was very knowledgeable in replacing our 12 year old front door and frame. He was very friendly and timely. He picked up the door at Menards with saved up other delivery expenses. We will gladly hire him for any future home repairs.

John and his team did a great job doing various repairs/upgrades around my home. They wrapped my back porch posts and painted them to match the existing siding color. John’s recommendation on how to wrap them made them look so much better than the prior post configuration. He repaired a warped step on my basement stairs, repainted my front porch columns and assessed/reviewed a fascia issue that I had. He was prompt, friendly, neat, knowledgeable and easy to work with. I would definitely recommend him.

John did aa fine job in removing our old deck and building our composite deck and rails. He replaced the old siding by our screened in porch with new . The deck shows his quality workmanship. He worked with us to assure total satisfaction. His crew were all professional as well.

The work was smooth. He was a great worker. professional, courteous, and responsive.

Good work, fair prices

John is a great carpenter. He has work on not only my home but my parents home and my aunts home. For my aunt he did a complete bathroom remodel that turned out wonderful. For my parents he fixed a deck, and replace some intricate woodwork in the exterior of the home. He has helped me With multiple projects over the years from hanging dry wall and framing, to replacing doors and floors. My family and I completely recommend him.

On Dec. 2nd, 2022 John sent us a contract going in detail of what the reconstructing of our bathroom would take, how much it would cost, and what his responsibilities would be for him, his plumber, and electrician with a satisfaction guarantee at the end. Well he was not a man of his word, nor is he a professional. Not sure if it's because of who we are buy we were defrauded by John Hoover after paying him $7000.00 of a $10,200.00 job. He took on another job after agreeing to do ours, that caused him to barely come and when he did it was for maybe 45 minutes to an hour. Then Scheduled to come causing us to have to change our schedule sometimes and he would not call or show up. He treated us as if we were nothing and tried talking to us in the same manner until we had to speak up. Our bathroom is in no wise completed, we have a toilet that was already there, a tub that's not sturdy. The double was vanity was put in but we can only use one side. He started installing our expensive shower door putting it on wrong, packs up his things while we were gone then the next day sends us a text that he will not be finishing the work. We tried reaching out to him for a whole week with no reply, so we had to go to a lawyer. We sent him a notarized letter on 2/12/2023 asking that seeing he is not going to complete the project, and that he has not done $7000 worth of work to please pay us back $2000 of our monies by the end of 2/12/23. I will attach copies of our agreement and communication with John Hoover. Also, I want it known that we had everything that he said we needed for the job along with the monies. He was upset also that we told him not to pick up stuff and show us receipts because we have a Lowes card and can use it. He would show us a receipt and we didn't know if it was really for us or his other job. For all we knew, he could have been getting double paid.
