My primary business is consulting on buildings that have construction defects that allow moisture intrusion, rot, mold, etc. I also work with builders on new buildings to assist in the sequencing and selection of products to prevent moisture intrusion, promote long-term building performance, ie., concrete curing, roof flashing, window and door installation, moisture barriers, basement waterproofing, etc.

The B-Dry® System Wet Basement Waterproofing Process has been used in homes nationwide for over 50 years. Installed in over 300,000 homes and growing, it has been tried and tested in alleviating wet basement problems caused by a number of reasons. In 1986, it was even awarded a patent from the United States Government! Our basement waterproofing systems are warranted and designed to protect your home from problems caused by a high water table, heavy wet soil, cracks or seams in the floor and wall seepage. That is what makes the B-Dry® Waterproofing System a consumer-voted favorite nationwide.
"The B-dry team arrived around 9:00am and had the sump pump installed and everything cleaned up by 12:30. I have a finished basement but they only had to take up 4.5 tiles to complete the installation. The crew was professional and answered my questions when asked."

Midwest Stone Scapes is a hardscape company that specializes in outdoor living and concrete construction. Some other services include fireplaces, pavers, retaining walls, and more!
"I contacted Midwest Stone scapes to get a quote for a concrete patio and deck. I had some positive references from other people and the pictures of their work seemed high quality. They were busy and it took a few weeks to get them to come out for a quote. On my appointment date, we talked about options and he was very informative and gave me ideas I wasn't aware of. He told me he would contact me with a quote. That was the last I ever heard from him. I emailed the company 2 weeks later and the office person called me back and said she would check on the progress of my quote. Another week went by and still no quote. I emailed them again and never had a return message or call. Very disappointing, as I was extremely interested in one of the products he told me about. A true professional would have at least returned my call and told me they couldn't do my project."

If foundation problems are not fixed, not only do repairs eventually become very costly, but it can lead to structural damage to the house above. Eventually, if the foundation problems are allowed to persist, the foundation walls can cave in or collapse. That’s after other issues like flooding and mold have likely been allowed to develop. Although not all cracks are structural problems, some can be and even if they start out small, they can develop into major problems. The earlier foundation problems are discovered and fixed, the lower the cost to repair will likely be.
Yes, foundation repairs are worth the cost at any stage to avoid a dangerous living condition. A failed foundation can lower the value of your home by up to 20%. Whether it’s the smallest problem like a thin crack less than ⅛-inch wide, a horizontal crack, a crack letting water flow through, or a wall bowing inward, repairing foundation problems as soon as possible is worth the cost. Sometimes a temporary fix can be applied until you have the budget to completely fix the problem, but the longer the problems persist, the more costly repairs may be.
The most common first signs of foundation issues include:
Cracks in the foundation walls that grow
Signs of moisture or water leaking through cracks in the foundation
Standing water in the basement
Sagging floors or walls
Cracked walls in upper floors
Doors and windows that don’t close properly anymore
Foundation repairs cost about $5,000, on average. Typically, prices range from $2,200 to $7,800, depending on the type and extent of repairs needed. Cost factors include foundation type, home size, soil stability, accessibility, and the ultimate cause of the problem and what methods and materials are required to fix it.
If you’re noticing signs of foundation issues, the first step to fixing a foundation problem is to hire a foundation repair inspector. They will determine the problem, the cause, and the severity before recommending a course of action to repair the foundation. The method for fixing foundation problems depends on the problem and what options are available. A few possible solutions include:
Epoxy injections
Mudjacking
Piers made of steel or concrete
Jacks
Hydraulic piers
Carbon or steel reinforcement strips
Waterproofing materials
