"Not well. The young men who came were pleasant, but inexperienced. The job was to sweep AND inspect. They said it did not need sweeping (though we later found out it did) and they asked if we wanted an outside inspection as if it were an add-on. It was raining and I guess they did not want to get wet. They then were delayed sending us a quote and when we asked for one, it was nebulous and prohibitively expensive. Four quotes later we found a company that would do the work needed and not upsell us. We paid $250 effectively for nothing."

"I got several quotes, and after talking with Mr Chimney (John), it became apparent how knowledgeable he was. One of my co-workers had John fix his chimney after a tree fell on it years ago, and he was happy with the job they had done. Even though it was a lot of money, his quote was significantly cheaper than another replacement quote, and I went with them. It turned out that the chimney brick was coming off in sheets because some previous company had disposed excess concrete down the chimney, between the flue liner and brick, so there was no room for expansion, or for a place for the water to go when the chimney crown started leaking. Mr. Chimney finished the chimney, all the flashing done the right way, replaced the shingles around the chimney where they were working, cleaned up, fixed some other pre-existing issues, and the chimney looks great!"

"12/15- Allstate repaired an overflowing gutter by replacing it with a wider gutter and adding a guard. Two years later, the gutter is overflowing again, the wood underneath and on the side of the house is rotted, and the gutter is nearly falling off. I originally was told the worker who performed the repair was no longer employed by them and they could not vouch for his work. 2/18- I emailed the manager. A worker was sent to give me an estimate for repair. Since February, nearly four months ago, I have been going back and forth with Eric WIlliams, sales manager. The company guarantees their work for 24 months- I contacted them at 26 months. The damage is extensive and other companies that gave me estimates agree the original "fix" 26 month previous only put a bandaid on the problem. Communication from Allstate is sporadic. At one point Eric sent an estimate, I asked some questions, he came out and took a second look. That was almost four weeks ago. I have since texted and received no reply. I wanted to give Allstate the chance to make things right, but after my contact in February, they have not. They say the right things, but don't follow through. Other estimates for repair are consistent- this amount of damage should not have happened if the "repair" had been done correctly in the first place. Of course, Allstate says it is due to the construction of the roof (however, it was constructed the same two years ago when they first came out, and they didn't say it was a problem when they did the original repair). And we are talking about a two month difference when it comes to their "guarantee"."
