Outstanding experience with Mid-Valley Chimney. Fast response to request for quote and chimney repair. In the process, they found some significant deficiencies and possible hazards which were then repaired in a follow-up call. Employees in the field and home office were polite and helpful making it a pleasure to do business with them.

Coleton was great! We hadn’t used the fireplace since purchasing the house 18 mos. ago and he tested and cleaned everything, taught us how to use the fireplace, and was professional the entire time. He also answered a few questions for another home project. Great technician and service!

Excellent work from start to finish. My father was a mason, so I know great work when I see it. First, they brought in a tear-down team to remove the chimney down to the first-floor roof level of our two-story house. After which, they rebuilt the chimney to original height installing approximately 900 new bricks using a new Type N mortar. They installed a new 5" thick concrete crown with a 2" drip edge and an expansion joint. They replaced all accessible sections of fireplace clay flue tile extending 4" - 6" above the concrete crown. Installed new stainless steel chimney cap. Installed 2 sets of new step and counter flashing. Installed 2 sets of new ice water shields and shingles as needed. Cleaned and weather sealed chimney entirely upon completion. After the chimney rebuild was done, the Mason, Seth, and his crew cleaned the work site, to include the whole driveway. They are a very efficient and thorough team. I understand that they like to leave the customer's house and yard as clean or better than they find it.

I purchased a 160 year old home 2.5 years ago. It has 3 fireplaces. Mid Valley just repaired the one in my living room and they did a fantastic job. The hearth needed to be replaced and they were able to save the old brick to use on the top so that it still looks original to the fireplace. They also lined the chimney with a new stainless steel flue and repaired the fire box. I put a fire in it on Saturday night and it was wonderful. I will definitely be hiring these guys to repair my other fireplace, as well as for general masonry work. I highly recommend their services.

We are very satisfied with the work that Mid-Valley Chimney Repair & Sweeps performed on our chimney during the week of July 23-27, 2018. Matt (T) and Billy set up, cleaned chimney and removed old mortar. Matt did an outstanding job with the re tuck point and cement crown . We commend him on his attention to detail. Howard and Seth cleaned chimney and applied sealer. They also removed scaffolding and cleaned surrounding areas. Seth took the time to remove debris from plants in front of chimney. All members of the team were professional and answered all of our questions. They were very personable and it was a pleasure to do business with everyone beginning with Matthew Simpson who did the initial inspection and gave us the estimate. We highly recommend this company and plan to call on them again.

Matt and his team did an outstanding job at rebuilding our 2 very large chimneys. It was a complete tear down to the roof line. He was able to match the brick perfectly and added the type of cap we wanted. His team was punctual, friendly and easy to work with. He is the only contractor I have had that kept me abreast of potential weather delays. You always knew a day ahead if his team was going to show up or not. During some rain delays I hired Mid-Valley to do some interior brick work, which they readily accommodated and at an extremely fair price. Mid-Valley's work was so good and below what I estimated (based on previous estimates), I purchased from Mid-Valley, and had them install, a wood burning insert. You can't go wrong with Mid-Valley for any masonry work. I will have them back when we progress to other brick, stone or block projects.

Fireplace had a previous problem of shutting down on its own that seems to have gone away after the thorough work done by Mid-Valley. They also provided a report at the end of service that was quite helpful.

We had some difficulty matching the brick since the company that made the original brick is out of business. Matt held off his scheduled start date to allow us additional time to look for "the perfect match". Of course we didn't find it but did find a match that was good enough. The crew worked diligently and were very professional. We had a problem when they opened up a bees nest and had to modify their schedule to wait for a bee keeper to come remove the bees. The job was completed on time and was professionally done. I would recommend Mid Valley for chimney work.

I received several bids on tuck-pointing my large “stone” chimney. With my chimney being large and “stone” I knew it was important to select the right company to do the work. From my very first meeting with Matt I knew that I wanted Mid-Valley to do the work. Now that the work is complete I know I made the right decision. Matt and his employees were polite and courteous and gave me a finished project that I am very happy with.

In fact, I will be calling them to come out and do a sweep soon.

They also went through each area that was repaired with me to make sure nothing was missed and everything met my expectations. Had them come out to check out a leaky gas fireplace. The repair took five minutes and was great. Very professional. We will use every time we hire someone for chimney work!!

Matt (the owner) sets high standards and made sure the job was done right. There was some work done by a new employee that wasn't quite up to snuff. The next day Matt sent out a couple of very good masons, Matt (not the owner) and Mike. They did an absolutely excellent job! In my opinion, the owner went above and beyond, and the results exceeded my expectations. All employees are in-house; the work isn't subcontracted.

He is very personable, professional, efficient, patient (with my questions and curiosities) and knowledgeable. Scheduling the appointment was easy. Ready for another season of warm, cozy wood fires. Clean, professional service. Technicians arrived on time, prepped the work area carefully, ND left no mess. The repairs they recommended were backed up with photos and they did not pressure a sale at all. They were able to schedule service within a few days and we're again on time. Reapers look great and we will certainly use them again.

We reached out to Mid-Valley to repair our chimney. After soliciting 5 estimates, Mid-Valley wasn't the absolute cheapest but they weren't the most expensive either. We chose Mid-Valley over others based on their favorable review record on Angie's List. Overall we were very happy with the work.

Matt and his crew were courteous and timely with all communication. They made an effort to match our existing brick color as closely as possible and their quality of work looks very good. A year later we are still very pleased with the work. The only slight concern we had was that they didn't drape our fireplace opening (we have no fireplace insert with doors) and while work was being completed we did have some issue with some dust and debris falling down our chimney. But once we mentioned it to them, they must've been more careful up top, because we saw less debris making its way down the chimney. After the chimney work was completed, they did a chimney sweep that helped clean up the debris that had fallen down our chimney and all we were left to clean was some of the dust that had spread to surfaces in our living room. But I must stress, this was a very minor issue, we were very pleased with the quality of work and I would still highly recommend Mid-Valley Chimney to anyone looking to have chimney work completed.

In addition, when we opened the top sealing damper for the first time a few months later, we somehow got the chain stuck. We called and Matt sent someone out to free it for us for no charge.
