Allstate Exteriors LLC - Springfield

12/15- Allstate repaired an overflowing gutter by replacing it with a wider gutter and adding a guard. Two years later, the gutter is overflowing again, the wood underneath and on the side of the house is rotted, and the gutter is nearly falling off. I originally was told the worker who performed the repair was no longer employed by them and they could not vouch for his work. 2/18- I emailed the manager. A worker was sent to give me an estimate for repair. Since February, nearly four months ago, I have been going back and forth with Eric WIlliams, sales manager. The company guarantees their work for 24 months- I contacted them at 26 months. The damage is extensive and other companies that gave me estimates agree the original "fix" 26 month previous only put a bandaid on the problem. Communication from Allstate is sporadic. At one point Eric sent an estimate, I asked some questions, he came out and took a second look. That was almost four weeks ago. I have since texted and received no reply. I wanted to give Allstate the chance to make things right, but after my contact in February, they have not. They say the right things, but don't follow through. Other estimates for repair are consistent- this amount of damage should not have happened if the "repair" had been done correctly in the first place. Of course, Allstate says it is due to the construction of the roof (however, it was constructed the same two years ago when they first came out, and they didn't say it was a problem when they did the original repair). And we are talking about a two month difference when it comes to their "guarantee".

Overall service was excellent. I had excellent service and Glenn with Allstate was great to work with. From the first phone contact with Allstate Exteriors to the final review of their work I never ran into any problems. Were very flexible in working with me and my crazy schedule in order to get my roof repaired in a timely manner. I will definitely recommend them to anyone and will consider using them again if I have any additional outside repairs.

Eric not only came out to give us an estimate, but was on hand to go through the inspection with the insurance adjuster to make sure nothing was missed and was even here for the final inspection. He also gave us his cell phone number, we could reach him with any concerns, about the work being performed, which he responded to and addressed quickly. The workers showed up on time, working quickly, and were true professionals. They also made sure everything cleaned and picked up at the end of each day, including running over both of our long driveways with a magnet to make sure nothing was left behind that would cause a flat tire. The whole over all experience was very professional and pleasant. This is definitely a company we will do business with again and highly recommend!

I am very impressed with Allstate Exteriors.  I had storm damage to my roof.  All I had to do was initiate the claim with the insurance company and Allstate handled the rest.  Their estimator met with the insurance adjustor even though I wasn't able to be present due to my work schedule.  Allstate submitted everything directly to the insurance company.  I was dreading all the paperwork and hassle I thought I would have to endure, but Allstate made the process stress-free and easy.  The work they did was excellent.  The roofing crew arrived as scheduled and completed everything quickly and per the estimates.  They were also very courteous, checking with me on where they could park their trailer.  They were very diligent about cleanup after the job.  A separate crew came later to do the gutters and down spouts.  They did an equally excellent job!  I know who I am calling for any home exterior work I need in the future - Allstate.

On price - I gave them a B versus an A simply because I have found them more expensive than their competitors, but they are worth it.  You get what you pay for!

My husband and I decided to resurface the front of our
house.  The front of our house is wood trim and faux stucco.  We knew
we wanted a different look.  We knew we wanted siding and a stone
appearance as an accent.  I called seven different companies for
assistance and to request a quote.  Allstate Exteriors displayed knowledge
and professionalism from the very beginning.  I made an appointment for
Allstate Exteriors to come to my house for a free quote.  Mr. Damon Ward
and his assistant were sent to my house.  Mr. Damon was very friendly,
professional, punctual and extremely knowledgeable.  I was very
impressed.  After receiving all of my quotes, Allstate Exteriors provided
very fair prices.  Mr. Damon worked with me with selecting all of my
products to make sure that I was getting everything that I wanted in my
house.  He also provided me with a final product image to insure I was
getting everything that I wanted. The process from accepting the quote from
Allstate Exteriors and starting my project, Mr. Damon?s communication with me
was very impressive.  He was able to be reached by phone, email and
text.  He always responded to all of questions in great detail and in a
rapid manner.  That is very important to me.  It was time for my
project to begin and Mr. Damon and his team arrive at my home.  Mr. Damon
introduced to the team and made sure to answer any of my questions and to
address any concerns I may have.  Mr. Damon?s team was very friendly and
very hard workers.  The week my project was schedule, it rained every
day.  Mr. Damon?s team still came out to my home and got my project
completed.  This was a very dedicated group of men.  When I arrived
home on the day the team completed my home, I was astonished by the
transformation of my house.  We have lived in our home for 10 years and it
was like coming home to a brand new house.  The quality of Allstate
Exteriors work is impeccable.  I could not have chosen a better company to
trust with my home!
 

We are very fortunate to have found Brian - Allstate's Senior Project Manager.  Our house presented a unique problem with having no attic or basement which was causing parts of our ceiling to become wet and discolored along with soft spots to develop on the one year old shingle roof professionally put on by the previous owners.  Many of the roofers we contacted were either over-their-head or didn't want to take the time and effort to figure out a permanent solution.  Brian was up for the challenge though.  He spent time researching and came up with a plan, and then coming up with a second plan when the metal company said the pitch of our roof was too low.

    Everything went smoothly from the roofers hand-building the new trusses to the spray foam insulation and then the metal roof installation/soffit work.  They even painted the vents and pipes coming out of the roof to match the color of the metal as well as used caulking tinted the same color.

Every representative of the company was knowledgeable and professional.  The installers for both the siding and roof were well-trained and prompt. They all went out of their way to make sure I was satisfied even when I was unsure of exactly what I wanted on one area of the house. I am satisfied with this experience and would definitely use them again.

Lots of attention Prion to job start. Quick job initially done on main roof with wrong color shingles by a crew of" non local" persons.    No response to problem, areas.  Disappeared after initial partial payment left job unfinished .

I had talked to Brian Wilson through the whole project He was excellent and when I needed to know something He was always available for me to talk to him, He is an exceptional Human being and very honest, Not out to get you or loose money and is upfront with me, the work was complete and they did a super job, I really would refer them to all my friends and family.

I am not sure whether I am going with them or not. I have to do some further research. I did get a quote for repair on everything that I needed and they were a little high on one of the things that I want it done so I’m still checking around. Well that’s just it. They were just gonna do whatever amount I got from the insurance company for whatever that amount. Right now is around $6000 but they did give me a quote for enclosing a deck on the back with a wooden roof and it was way too much money in my opinion. I was pleased with the gentleman I dealt with. He came out one time and then he came back when the insurance adjuster was here and then he came back again but he is no longer with the company. I had no expectations so I don’t know that they went up above or beyond anything and I have not had anybody else to compare yet.

Allstate Exteriors LLC  solicited our business by offering a free roof inspection. Brian was  professional and very informed as to how to evaluate a roof for insurance reimbursement. After the inspection I was given a packet on who to call and how to talk to my insurance company for storm damage repair. Brian asked to be informed and to be present when the insurance adjuster inspected the roof. Together the two came to an agreement what was needed and what the insurance coverage would be. Brian set the following week as a time for his crew to start. Called later in the week setting Sat. as the starting date but text early Sat. morning (7:30am) that they were changing the day to Monday. The crew showed up Monday morning, the crew leader and I talked about the job and I told him that my dog was unfriendly and should not be approached if he accidently got out. They started the job working efficiently throughout the day. At days end they cleaned up and stop to say they would return in the morning to finish the job. The crew again showed up around 9:00am the next morning and began work.  Around 1:00pm the crew left without stopping to talk to me I assumed they were leaving for lunch.  Later that day Brian called to check on the job stating that they were done. I told him that the shed had not been reroofed, downspouts were not done, and the satellite was not recalibrated as to the contract. He said that he would send out the crew to finish and I should call the satellite company to have them come to recalibrate. So we were without satellite service for two days.  Three days later late in the afternoon a saw the crew working on the shed. I did not receive a call nor did they stop at the door to say they would be working. I was lucking that my dog was not outside when they came into the yard. They finished and left without speaking to me. Brian called one day to say the gutter people would be there soon. They showed up while he was still on the phone he asked me to sign over the insurance checks and give them to the crew when they completed the job. As my husbands name was I the check and we had a dispute over the charge of the satellite calibration we came to an agreement for Brian to collect the check at a later date and the company would at that time reimburse us for the cost the insurance company paid for the satellite. Due to scheduling issues on my side on the agreed day I told Brian that I would leave the signed checks for him to pick up and to leave the reimbursement check.  When I got home I found the receipt but no reimbursement check. The check was dropped off the next day. The crew was efficient and did a great job but the communication before, during, and after the job could have been better.

Company was very professional and kept in constant contact.  Overall a great job.
