"The problem was a nest causing a chimney blockage. The job was handled excellently. They cleaned the chimney, removed the nest, inspected for any other potential damage, and screened the caps so it would not happen again. They were professional, clean and thorough and all for the right price. I did have two cancellations prior to the repair, but it was worth the wait. I would recommend Chimney Magic to my friends. Thanks for a job well done!"

"

They were good. I may call them again. The guy was honest. They cleaned the chimney. I will use them to replace a flue in the future, as soon as I get the money. They were very courteous. They followed up. It was a good experience.

"Nick from A+ Reliable was excellent. He came on time and told me I just needed a low cost repair rather then a high price replacement from another company. I am extremely satisfied and would highly recommend."

"Jason showed up within the time frame given. Explained scope of work. Also complimented the work that was performed by another company. Which is very rare. Suggested to check the boiler chimney and cleaned that one also. Removed the damper which most other never do. Cleaned up and was done within an hour."

Customers say: Terrific value

"Iâ m so glad we hired Paulie and his crew. My 130 year old four story chimney had never been cleaned and was falling apart. Paulie cleaned and repaired the chimney and put in a new flu and did an excellent job while explaining all that he was doing. And for a reasonable price. And heâ s a nice guy."

Chimney Repair questions, answered by experts

Yes, you can fill rotten wood with expanding foam. You may prefer using an expanding foam treatment instead of wood filler since the latter can take a long time to dry. It may also provide an easier solution when you’re dealing with smaller gaps. If you use expanding foam, allow it to cure for about 24 hours before you sand and prime it.

Like stains, the best way to prevent cracks is by treating them as quickly as possible. You can apply a protection cream or conditioner, which will fill in and plump any gaps or wrinkles that may start to form.

Cupping and bowing are both types of wood warping, but they affect the board in different ways. Cupping happens when the edges of a board curl upward or downward, creating a concave or convex shape across its width. Conversely, bowing is when the board curves along its length, forming a gentle arc.

Some movers will disassemble bed frames and include this in their price. Others will charge extra for this service, so always check before booking. Disassembling the furniture yourself is one way to lower the cost of moving a bed frame if you have the tools, the time, and the extra bodies to help you complete the task safely.

Pros cover many fixes, from upholstery renewals to joint reinforcement.
