"When Phil first came for estimates I was impressed how professional he was he explained everything I hired him on the spot. His contract came that day and work started Monday. They took all cabinets doors to shop to spray them. My cabinet were from 1997 so imagine how dirty and worn they were just putting primer coat on everything changed the entire look of my kitchen today he finished and it has made such a difference it’s like an entire new room. I am so very pleased with the work and the price was also great Thank you Phil. Don’t forget to give me a price on my deck for staining. I give mega painting a very good review and am glad he reached out to me. Excellent workers and honest people. Would recommend 100%"

Customers say: Quality work

"It went smooth and it took longer for me to watch the paint dry then it did for Tom to complete the job Professionally and with high Quality. Tom is a Master at what he does. Show him the area and step aside because he has it done in his head before the work is finalized. Tom went above and beyond and now I know who to call for the next job after the holidays. COVID as put stress upon us all I had my mask on as well so did Tom of WallMasters!"

Customers say: Quick response

"I went on Home Advisor at work to get some information and contacted some professionals. We had a call from Dennis before I even got home from work on the same day to say hello and make himself available. Dennis was chosen because he was courteous, accommodating and flexible. We had our whole house painted and dealing with furniture, etc. that had to be shifted around He put NO demands on us as to what his conditions were, but it was about us and how he could work with us. Can't say that for the others. It was an overwhelming job, but Dennis just flowed with it and got the job done in a professional and excellent manor. The job was not "farmed out" and he did it personally. Great attitude and did I mention he undercut the other guys ALOT! You're the best Dennis! 11/2015"

Painting questions, answered by experts

Limewash and whitewash are two techniques used to give brick a light, matte finish, but they differ in composition, application, and permanence. The best choice depends on your aesthetic goals and the specific surface.

Composition

  • Limewash: A natural and environmentally friendly option made from limestone, water, and sometimes pigments. It is breathable and soaks into porous surfaces like brick.

  • Whitewash: Traditionally made from lime, water, chalk, and binders, but a similar look can be achieved with watered-down white paint. It is paint-based and sits on top of the surface.

Appearance and Finish

  • Limewash: Provides a natural, textured appearance that allows the brick's character to show through. It offers a more traditional finish.

  • Whitewash: Creates a softer, more opaque finish, often used for a rustic or shabby-chic style.

Application and Permanence

  • Limewash: Is semi-permanent and can be removed, making it a good choice if you might want to change the look in the future. It requires more skill to apply and cannot be used on previously painted brick.

  • Whitewash: Is a more permanent solution. It is more forgiving to apply and can be used on painted brick. However, because it sits on the surface, it can trap moisture.

Ultimately, if you want a breathable, natural, and reversible finish for unpainted brick, limewash is a great option. If you need a more permanent, opaque coating that can be applied over painted surfaces, whitewash is the better choice. Whitewashing may also be more economical, costing approximately $1.40 to $4.20 per square foot.

Regular staining, sealing, and inspecting for rot or insect damage prolongs fence lifespan.

Yes, many fence repair services include finishing treatments like sanding, priming, repainting, coating, and rust treatment. These services help restore the fence's original appearance, protect it from corrosion, and enhance its aesthetic appeal. However, since offerings can vary by provider, it is best to confirm what is included before scheduling the work.

Acrylic latex paint is the best option to use on your outdoor wrought iron fence, because it holds up well against the elements. Use a high-quality, exterior-grade paint specifically designed for use on metal. You can choose between spray paint or regular liquid paint. As for primer, it's best to use an oil-based and rust inhibiting option before painting your wrought iron fence.

You can use latex or acrylic paint outdoors. Although acrylic paint tends to last longer outside, it also costs more, so if you’re painting the outside of your house, for instance, latex paint is often a go-to option. However, acrylic will be your best choice if you want to spend some extra money for added durability.
