"The septic tank had been incorrectly vented in a manner that made it dangerous so they replaced the cap and made it easier to access in the future. Everything was explained to me and the service men were professional and pleasant."
"John from Cesspool Kings was absolutely outstanding. He showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and handled the job professionally from start to finish. It?s hard to find honest, reliable service companies these days, but John exceeded expectations. Clean work, fair pricing, and great communication. I highly recommend Cesspool Kings to anyone who needs cesspool or septic service. Five stars all the way!"
"I thought they did a great job; they were very professional and courteous, if there was anything I did not like was that the initial job was to unclog the main sewer line, but could not do it, they still charged me $275, in the past I only paid from $75 - $150 when they unclogged the line, they charged so much money for not unclogging, I think they should have bypast that charge, I did pay $9500, to replace the main sewer line and trap, which I'm ok with."

"Review for Cesspool Services I recently had the pleasure of working with Cesspool R Us for our property’s cesspool maintenance, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The technicians arrived promptly, fully equipped, and ready to get to work. They took the time to explain the process clearly and answered all of my questions, which was greatly appreciated. The work was done efficiently, and they ensured that the area was left clean and tidy, going above and beyond in their commitment to customer satisfaction. What really stood out was their knowledge and thorough approach. They identified and addressed potential issues I wasn’t even aware of, which saved us from potential future problems. It’s rare to find a company so dedicated to quality service and customer care. I highly recommend Cesspool R Us for anyone in need of reliable, high-quality cesspool services. Their team is skilled, respectful, and truly dedicated to doing the job right. Thank you for providing such excellent service!"
"Very easy to schedule. Mike also works on Saturday. I got a waiver for the first-time customer, to waive the fee for locating the septic tank. Mike is very professional and has given some advice for maintenance."
"I really loved working with Competition Cesspool & Drain Cleaning, LLC. They were very professional getting my septic tank riser install and cleaning both the septic tank thoroughly, and follow through on things were amazing. Mike the owner did the wonderful job. He took even great care of my lawn and property with out damaging or mess. Great job Mike. I will recommend to all my friends and family."
"I rated this company Top Notch because they are! From start to finish, friendly, respectful and professional. Christine in the office was delightful and got back to me each time she said she would with ETA. Jimmy did the work which hadn't ever been done since we moved in in 2000! He uncovered not one, not two, but five lids - cesspool plus two overflows and septic tank plus one. He sucked out the gunk, rotored out our lines and was patient, efficient and very pleasant. Explained everything that needed to be done. Took 2-3 hours of work. He cleaned up our backed-up tub and everything works great now. We would DEFINITELY hire them again. Highly recommended!"
Yes. A metal detector is one of the quickest and easiest ways to find your septic tank. However, metal detectors can be too expensive (costing upward of $300 in some cases), and not everyone has a metal detector just lying around. If that’s the case for you, you can also take a long metal rod and poke it into the ground at regular intervals until you hit something—likely your septic tank lid.
Ensuring you have adequate space for your engineered septic system is crucial. You’ll need to reserve approximately 900 square feet for a three-bedroom home’s system. However, the type of soil you have, soil absorption rate, the size of your home, climate, and local zoning code will impact the actual amount of space you need.
Conventional anaerobic septic systems are the most cost-effective and least expensive type, with installation costs typically ranging from $3,000 to $8,000. For comparison, sand filter systems cost between $7,000 and $18,000, while mound systems are the most expensive at $10,000 to $20,000. Several factors influence the final price. The tank material is a key consideration; plastic tanks are the most budget-friendly option, starting around $2,900, but concrete and fiberglass tanks offer greater durability and longer life spans at a higher cost. The size of the tank also affects the price. For example, a 1,000-gallon tank costs between $900 and $1,500, whereas a larger 1,500-gallon tank costs $1,500 to $2,500.
A septic alarm can sound different depending on your system, but often, it’s a loud, repetitive beeping noise or a steady, high-pitched noise. It may also be a loud buzzing noise. To confirm the noise is your septic alarm, check your alarm box for a red light. You can also silence your alarm with a red button or switch on the box. Look for something that says “Test” or “Mute.”
The main difference between a mound septic system and a conventional one is that the drain field in a mound system is built up into a mound composed of sand and gravel to increase the filtration time the wastewater sees before it is returned to the aquifer. There’s also a significant cost difference, with mound systems typically costing far more than standard septic systems.
