"Overall, I had a great experience. They were able to come out on short notice and also showed me some quick tips to keep the septic tank clean during regular maintenance."
"The septic tank had been incorrectly vented in a manner that made it dangerous so they replaced the cap and made it easier to access in the future. Everything was explained to me and the service men were professional and pleasant."
"John from Cesspool Kings was absolutely outstanding. He showed up on time, explained everything clearly, and handled the job professionally from start to finish. It?s hard to find honest, reliable service companies these days, but John exceeded expectations. Clean work, fair pricing, and great communication. I highly recommend Cesspool Kings to anyone who needs cesspool or septic service. Five stars all the way!"
"I thought they did a great job; they were very professional and courteous, if there was anything I did not like was that the initial job was to unclog the main sewer line, but could not do it, they still charged me $275, in the past I only paid from $75 - $150 when they unclogged the line, they charged so much money for not unclogging, I think they should have bypast that charge, I did pay $9500, to replace the main sewer line and trap, which I'm ok with."

"Review for Cesspool Services I recently had the pleasure of working with Cesspool R Us for our property’s cesspool maintenance, and I couldn’t be more pleased with the experience. From start to finish, the team demonstrated professionalism, expertise, and attention to detail that made the entire process smooth and stress-free. The technicians arrived promptly, fully equipped, and ready to get to work. They took the time to explain the process clearly and answered all of my questions, which was greatly appreciated. The work was done efficiently, and they ensured that the area was left clean and tidy, going above and beyond in their commitment to customer satisfaction. What really stood out was their knowledge and thorough approach. They identified and addressed potential issues I wasn’t even aware of, which saved us from potential future problems. "Very easy to schedule. Mike also works on Saturday. I got a waiver for the first-time customer, to waive the fee for locating the septic tank. Mike is very professional and has given some advice for maintenance."
"I really loved working with Competition Cesspool & Drain Cleaning, LLC. They were very professional getting my septic tank riser install and cleaning both the septic tank thoroughly, and follow through on things were amazing. Mike the owner did the wonderful job. He took even great care of my lawn and property with out damaging or mess. Great job Mike. I will recommend to all my friends and family."
"I rated this company Top Notch because they are! From start to finish, friendly, respectful and professional. Christine in the office was delightful and got back to me each time she said she would with ETA. Jimmy did the work which hadn't ever been done since we moved in in 2000! He uncovered not one, not two, but five lids - cesspool plus two overflows and septic tank plus one. He sucked out the gunk, rotored out our lines and was patient, efficient and very pleasant. Explained everything that needed to be done. Took 2-3 hours of work. He cleaned up our backed-up tub and everything works great now. We would DEFINITELY hire them again. Highly recommended!"
A septic tank riser should extend to just above the ground level or slightly above it. The exact height can vary depending on local regulations and personal preferences, but a common guideline is to have the riser's top flush with or no more than a few inches above the surrounding ground. This height allows for easy access to the septic tank without creating a tripping hazard or obstructing mowing and landscaping activities. It's essential to ensure that the riser lid is easily visible and accessible for regular maintenance and inspection while being mindful of safety and aesthetics.
A septic system inspection costs $100 to $200. Doing so can spot issues early so you can plan for necessary repairs ahead of time and save yourself the issue of a backed-up septic tank. Some septic tank repair professionals do an inspection as part of their yearly maintenance on your septic tank if you choose to pay for that service, but you should shoot to have a septic system inspection completed at least once every two to five years.
A cistern works by collecting rainwater from your gutters and downspouts and storing it in a holding tank. The holding tank can be installed above or below ground, and the size will depend on your household needs. The stored water can then be used for household tasks, watering your garden, and even for drinking water.
All municipalities in the U.S. require a permit for septic tank installation or septic system alteration, and the permit will usually cost between $450 and $2,500. Some municipalities also require permits for septic system repair. You’ll either need to contact your local building department or your septic tank company to ask if this is necessary before carrying out the work. Permits are not typically required to have your septic tank pumped, so provided your septic company is licensed, you can move forward with the work as needed.
Cisterns can be used as septic tanks, but septic tanks can’t be used as cisterns. This is because cisterns need to meet FDA standards for drinking water, but septic tanks aren’t required to meet those standards since they are only used for wastewater.
