"Our plumber was Edwin Stevens. This was the second time we had hired this company because they also helped us out in the fall. They did exactly what we had asked them to do. The prices were fair and the work was excellent. Mr. Stevens made special time for us because we had a pressing need. He accommodated all of our requests in a timely manner. He was easy to work with and is an excellent communicator."

"First time to write review. Hired couple plumbers, Vinny is the best can be trusted. Three points I really appreciate, no.1 is he answered your phone promptly and arrived exactly the time he promised, no.2 is he's trying his best to help you figure out problems and solve it, no.3 is he has very professional tools compared with other guys I hired. In all, he's the one you can trust so I recommend him."

"The company wasn't great about communication via email. But phone conversations were quick and easy.  The serviceman was punctual and thorough and highlighted areas that needed repair. He did, however, give me a $15,000 estimate for annual service and maintenance and installation of a system humidifier for my 20 year old home. So i felt like the inspection was more of a sales call.

Plumbing questions, answered by experts

Your home’s plumbing has three types to ensure safe water usage and waste disposal. You have your drinking water plumbing system, which sends clean water to your sinks, bathtubs, and other faucets; the sewage plumbing system, which removes wastewater from sinks, bathrooms, and appliances; and the drainage system, which helps with rainwater runoff control. Each system works to keep your home dry, clean, and functional.

Yes, pipes can freeze during the winter months. If temps dip below 20 degrees Fahrenheit for six or more hours, your insulated pipes are more at risk, while uninsulated pipes can freeze if temps fall below 32 degrees for around 12 hours. Exterior pipes are more likely to freeze than interior pipes. The best way to prevent freezing pipes is by insulating your pipes, keeping your home’s temperature above 55 degrees, opening cabinets and doors containing pipes to promote circulation, dripping faucets, and disconnecting hoses.

The anticipated lifespan of an ABS pipe is 50 years. Some factors that can cause ABS pipes to fail prematurely include improper installation, exposure to direct sunlight, exposure to high temperatures, corrosion, and clogs that block water flow. Even the way a home shifts can actually cause ABS pipes to break.

Yes, polybutylene pipes absolutely need to be replaced. These pipes do not last long and pose major threats of leaks and bursts because they cannot withstand the elements found in municipal water, such as chlorine and fluoride. If your home still has any polybutylene pipes, hire a plumber right away to replace them with a better, more durable type of pipe.

Your pipes will not freeze just because you’ve turned your water heater off. Rather, pipes freeze when temperatures outside drop below freezing and the pipes are not properly insulated. In fact, leaving your faucets trickling with warm water (from the water heater) is one of the best ways to prevent your pipes from freezing in the winter.

Your water heater itself may have problems in the cold, so it’s important to winterize it each year. In addition, keep an eye on it throughout the year for problems and address any issues accordingly. For instance, here’s what to do if your water heater is leaking from the top.
