"This work was a request for my elderly mother's plumbing issue and was completed by Josh. The cost seemed a little pricey, and I felt that they were trying to take advantage of my mother because she is elderly. But they emailed an invoice with a breakdown of parts used, work completed, and labor costs. It still seems a little high, but at least now I understand why. Otherwise, Josh did a fantastic job, was very professional, and took pictures of the work completed. My mother was extremely satisfied with her new pull-down sprayer kitchen faucet. Josh arrived on time and completed the work within the estimated time. From reading some of the other reviews, I would use Vegas Valley Plumbing again, but I would only request Josh to do the work. "Rooter Ranger plumbing, Las Vegas Expensive plumber! The technician was prompt and polite when he snaked out my bathroom sink for a $147 charge. However I knew my sink needed to be “jetter cleaned” for the long-term solution. I asked the technician for a quote regarding Jetting my bathroom sink line. He quoted me $1190. That charge is expensive and inappropriate for the job. I live in a four-story condo and I am on the first floor. The line to be “jetter cleaned” is not a main sewer line, it is a secondary line that extends for approximately 25 feet. There are no extenuating circumstances to this jetter job……The proposed $1190 fee from Rooter Ranger is inappropriate for this scenario. It is an over-charge. I had the work performed by another plumbing company listed in Angi. The charge was $675. I would not recommend Rooter Ranger Plumbing."

The most expensive part of adding a bathroom will always be the wet areas, such as the toilet, sink, and shower. Even though their jobs sound similar—both professions work on pipes—a plumber and pipefitter actually have very different jobs, and pipefitting isn’t considered plumbing. Pipefitters often work in intense conditions while plumbers may work in lower-pressure environments.

Your home’s plumbing has three types to ensure safe water usage and waste disposal. You have your drinking water plumbing system, which sends clean water to your sinks, bathtubs, and other faucets; the sewage plumbing system, which removes wastewater from sinks, bathrooms, and appliances; and the drainage system, which helps with rainwater runoff control. Each system works to keep your home dry, clean, and functional.

Where you drain a hot tub largely depends on local regulations, but you must not drain chemically treated water where it can damage the environment. Direct the water toward a sanitary sewer drain that will take it to a treatment facility. If your lawn has a dedicated drainage area that’s free from plants and foundations, you can likely drain it there. Avoid storm drains, as the hot tub water will enter waterways and could hurt aquatic life. Likewise, do not pour it out directly on any public land or where it can get into your neighbors’ property. 

Although air in your water lines won’t affect the overall quality of your water, it will lead to problems with your well water system if not addressed. Over time, too much air in your water lines can create blockages in your pipes, cause insufficient water flow to your taps and appliances, loosen pipes, and potentially damage important components of your well including your well pump and pressure tank.
