"I had a Shearling Suede Jacket of the highest quality. My daughter's cat had a UTI infection and pee'd all over it! It was smelly and badly damaged. I wasn't sure it could be cleaned especially back to its like new condition. I sent it UPS from the bay area to Premier Leather care. It took them a few months because they had to work and work on it but they were able to remove all stains from the jacket without damaging the color or quality of the material. I would recommend this business"

"He came over the following day, looked at it , tried a little dab of his solvent and and gave me some advice to continue to do what I was doing. He refused to charge me for the house call! I did give him some lunch money but whenever I need carpet or upholstery cleaning, he will definitely be the person I call. I'll tell all my neighbors about him as well."

Upholstery Cleaning questions, answered by experts

In Santa Fe, it’s wise to schedule upholstery cleaning when you notice fine dust settling from seasonal winds, stubborn pet hair, or visible stains that don’t lift with routine care. If allergy symptoms increase or you’re hosting guests, it’s a good indicator to act. Most homes benefit from professional cleaning every 12–18 months, or every 6–12 months in high-traffic or pet-friendly environments.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe’s dry climate, quickly blot spills with a white cloth to prevent stains from setting, and vacuum upholstery weekly to remove wind-blown dust and pollen. For spot cleaning, use a mild solution and test in an inconspicuous area. Rotate cushions to minimize sun fading, and lightly mist with distilled water to reduce static. Avoid soaking fabrics or using abrasive cleaners, as these can worsen damage in low humidity.

Helpful?

Surface stains, pet hair, and dust buildup in Santa Fe usually indicate it’s time for upholstery cleaning. However, if you see cracked leather, fraying fabric, or sagging cushions—often caused by intense sun or dry air—these are signs that repair or replacement may be needed. Cleaning addresses cosmetic issues, but structural or material damage requires a different approach.

Helpful?

Santa Fe’s climate brings unique considerations—monsoon rains can slow drying, while dry winters may cause fabrics to become brittle. Wildfire smoke and dust storms can increase the need for frequent cleaning. High pollen counts in spring and a large pet population also impact scheduling. During peak tourist or holiday seasons, local upholstery cleaning professionals may book up quickly, so plan ahead for appointments.

Helpful?

After upholstery cleaning in Santa Fe, open windows or use fans to speed up drying and keep furniture out of direct sunlight to prevent fading. Regularly vacuum to control dust, and consider applying a UV-resistant fabric protector. Rotate cushions monthly and use window coverings to reduce sun exposure. In winter, maintain moderate indoor humidity to help fabrics last. Document the condition and schedule your next cleaning based on usage and exposure.
