"Roofing USA were very professional throughout. They were punctual, although the work got done a few weeks later than planned but such delays happen in this industry. They seem to have done a good job with the Gaco coating, although I did have to ask them to come back after they were done to redo a few patches that didn't get a thick enough layer. They were happy to do that. They only had to resurface part of my roof - the rest is a walkable roof deck - and they did leave many spots of Gaco on the roof deck which I had to ask them to come back and remove. I though the price was expensive but it was easily going to work out cheaper than the other two companies I contacted. They also had the least disruptive plan for working around my AC/heating unit. I got a higher bid from A+ Sustainable Coatings, and Hollywood Roofing told me I would have to hire a crane to lift that unit off the roof while they worked, which they said would be about $2500. I never did get a complete bid from them but with that extra cost I assumed it wouldn't be competitive, and I didn't think the crane was necessary. With Roofing USA, the price worked out at about $7 per square foot."

"Removal of one large old dying ponderosa pine was done very skillfully and carefully, bit by bit. The job was tricky because of nearby phone lines, roof, and another tree, and nothing was damaged. The large amount of debris was almost all removed neatly. The job got done very soon after I contacted the service. I would use the service again. Suggestions to appear more professional: arrive closer to the advertised time, and give the homeowner a professional receipt."

"They are really reliable, responsive and they have many talents; not just septic. I use them all the time. All my work is done remotely, I have never been surprised of any doings, I am always pleased with the work. There is no supervision and they get the work done efficiently. They are the best. It is a family owned business, they definitely taught and raised there children right. This is a multi generation business."

Snow Removal questions, answered by experts

After finishing snow removal in Santa Fe, thoroughly rinse equipment to remove sand and de-icing residue, then store it away from the sun to prevent UV damage common in the high desert. Inspect adobe walls and flagstone walkways for water pooling or cracks caused by freeze-thaw cycles. Sweep sidewalks to clear leftover ice melt, which can harm native juniper and piñon. Document any shared driveway issues for neighbor coordination.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, begin your inspection routine each fall by tuning engines for high elevation and checking snow blower carburetors. Stock up on pet-safe ice melt and sand, focusing on areas shaded by cottonwoods or north-facing walls. Throughout winter, check sidewalks and driveways weekly for frost heaving or drainage issues. In spring, assess stucco and flagstone for winter damage and plan to reseed native grasses disturbed by snow piles.

Helpful?

In Santa Fe, unexpected costs can include frequent blade sharpening due to gravel driveways, additional fuel for equipment running in thin mountain air, and repairs to adobe or stucco from snow pile runoff. You may also need to restore xeriscape landscaping affected by salt or sand, and address sidewalk safety concerns if ice melt damages surfaces. Steep or winding driveways often require extra attention, increasing maintenance needs.

Helpful?

Snow removal in Santa Fe requires adjusting engines for altitude, sharpening blades frequently due to rocky terrain, and cleaning tools daily to prevent dust buildup. Before winter, lubricate moving parts and use fuel stabilizer. During the season, inspect drainage channels to prevent water damage to adobe or stucco. Store equipment in a cool, shaded area after winter, and replace worn parts since local repair options can be limited.

Helpful?

For light snow in Santa Fe, use a plastic shovel to protect flagstone or brick walkways and spread sand for traction on icy spots. Clear snow early in the day to prevent refreezing overnight, especially in shaded courtyards. For small patches of ice, apply pet-friendly ice melt suited for local vegetation. Avoid attempting to clear heavy accumulations or ice dams on flat roofs, as these require professional expertise.
