"JJ provided a detailed description of work needed to remove and replace my 20 yr old rusted cooler, complete with photos and an itemized list of labor and parts. Gerrod and James arrived within the time parameter, introduced themselves and got to work. They did need to go get a larger unit and within 4 hours my new cooler was up and cooling my house. What I paid was exactly what was estimated. I received photos of every step of the installation."

"I’m very pleased with the AC and heater hookup service. The technician was professional, punctual, and knowledgeable. They made sure everything was installed correctly and explained how to operate the system efficiently. The unit runs smoothly — cooling and heating work perfectly, and the temperature control is spot-on. The work area was left clean and tidy, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend their service!"

"The unit (boiler and water heater combined in one.unit) took an extra few days than expected. However Aaron worked Saturday and Sunday to complete the installation. Staff was professional. Would hire them again if needed."

"I hired them to install heat pumps. They provided the lowest quote. They came and installed the heat pumps and I felt as though they were rushing through the job. They had to cut through my carport for some of the tubing. They said that they would caulk the hole and did not do it initially. They also did not explain the route they took in lieu of going through the attic crawlspace which is extremely tight in places. It was only later that I saw that they cut through a vent on the roof to run the tubing out of the attic crawlspace. Within three weeks, the minisplits stopped heating. After lots of back-and-forth, a technician came to diagnose the issue and fix it. There were leaks in the system. The minisplits have been working well since the repair. The technician also caulked the area around the hole in the carport roof. I think that that there are some good people in this organization, and I realize that everyone makes a mistake now and then. Personally, I think that they could provide better customer service by doing higher quality work on the initial installation and providing a more thorough explanation about the work they have done."

"

We needed to replace our air conditioning unit so I called Air Pro Inc. after reading most of the review in Angie's list.

Jerod came to our home, answered all our questions without rushing us or pressing us for a sale. He also was very polite and professional.

When the office sent me, via email, the proposal I was very impressed with it because it was well itemized, as I had requested, and very detailed.

After going over the proposal, my husband and I decided to go with Air Pro to install a new Carrier unit.

Prior to installing the new equipment, Jerod let the line-set sit under pressure with nitrogen for one week to make sure the line-set passed the leak/pressure test. After one week both Jerod and his assistant Mike came over, confirmed our existing line-set had no leaks, flushed the line-set and installed the new unit.

We still have not tried out the unit because it has been cold, but when we get to use it, in the next month or so, depending on the weather, we feel that if anything is wrong with it this company will come through for us.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

To figure out if your boiler is worth repairing or if you need to replace your boiler, first figure out how old the unit is. Boilers last 15 to 20 years, so if your unit is 15 years old or older, it may be better to replace the entire thing depending on the severity of the problems. If it’s not quite that old, then it’s probably worth repairing. Another thing to consider is whether your warranty covers any of the repair costs. If so, it may be worthwhile to repair your boiler to keep it running.

A furnace takes in cool air, heats it through the burner and heat exchanger, and sends the air on its way to warm your home. A boiler is a pressurized vessel that produces hot water or steam to heat the home and provide hot water. A boiler may or may not work together with a furnace.

The cost-efficiency of baseboard heaters depends on the type and how you use them. Generally, standard electric baseboard heaters can be expensive to run because they use electric resistance heating, which is less energy-efficient than systems like forced-air or heat pumps. However, hydronic and gas versions are typically much cheaper to operate. Hydronic models are more energy-efficient because they heat a liquid that retains warmth longer, preventing the thermostat from turning on and off as often. The overall running cost is also influenced by local electricity rates, your home's insulation, and your usage habits. To increase efficiency, you can use baseboard heaters for zoning, meaning you only heat the specific rooms you are using.

The best time of year to purchase or replace an HVAC system, including components like an air conditioner or furnace, is during the off-season—spring and fall. During these periods, HVAC professionals are less busy than in summer and winter, when extreme temperatures create urgent demand. Shopping during the off-season can lead to savings of 10% to 15% on an AC unit and allows you more time to find the best deal and other cost-saving incentives. Typically, air conditioning units go on sale in the fall after demand drops, while furnace prices tend to decrease in the spring.

Propane is more cost-efficient than natural gas on a per-unit basis because it produces twice as much heat energy as an equivalent amount of natural gas. But propane is not ideal if you already have a gas line installed. The best choice for your home depends on the efficiency of your appliances and the amount of installation required of your fuel choice.
