"JJ provided a detailed description of work needed to remove and replace my 20 yr old rusted cooler, complete with photos and an itemized list of labor and parts. Gerrod and James arrived within the time parameter, introduced themselves and got to work. They did need to go get a larger unit and within 4 hours my new cooler was up and cooling my house. What I paid was exactly what was estimated. I received photos of every step of the installation."

"Air Pro did a superb job removing the existing 50-year-old ductwork in our home and installing all new ductwork. The house could not be cooled evenly (as much as a 10° difference between rooms), but the new system Air Pro designed and installed has dramatically improved things: the whole house is evenly cooled. They also installed an exhaust fan in the master bathroom. The techs, Alan and Mike (I hope I got their names right), were courteous, respectful, and, most important, excellent at their jobs. They ran the new flexible ducting in the attic so that we can still access the areas we use for storage. At one point some damage was done to ceiling sheetrock in the living room, but the guys immediately cleaned everything up, and Jared at Air Pro sent over a sheetrock crew the very next day to make the repair, which was expertly done. Overall we're very satisfied and can recommend Air Pro. Thanks!"

"Very good. Lou's inspection of heater showed cracks in exchanger. Discussed options and his recommendation of a Rheem was accepted and since the A/C was over 8 years old I decided to go with a complete replacement with a well known brand. Installed and is warm in the cold weather and cool in the summer. Very happy with the unit as well as with Lou."

"Our 14 year old water heater started leaking one night so I called Williams (who also installed our HVAC system). Annette, the owner, scheduled a service call with a technician, Conrad, who came out and diagnosed the problem, stopped the leak, and made arrangements to replace the unit. The price was fair, the service excellent, and we have hot water for years to come. I would hire this local, family-owned outfit for all my plumbing and HVAC needs."

"Kevin the owner met with me to access what system would work best given my needs. We agreed on the system and cost and installation date.
Today Kade Hardy and KC Roush came to install the system. They called me as they were in transit and arrived on time. They were extremely professional and kept me informed all along the way. Kevin came by to check on progress and made sure I was fine with the progress. Kade and KC cleaned up as they went and then did a thorough clean up at the end.
I highly recommend Kevin, Kade and KC. I will call them back for any plumbing needs.

Install Boiler questions, answered by experts

The average cost to replace or install a new HVAC system is around $7,500. However, the price can range from $5,000 to $12,500, depending on factors like the size of your home, the type and brand of the unit, and your specific heating and cooling needs. If you only need to replace certain components, the cost will be lower; for example, a new AC unit can cost between $2,200 and $5,500, while a new furnace costs $3,200 to $6,000. If additional work like new ductwork is required, the total cost could be as high as $22,000. It's best to contact a local HVAC company for an accurate quote.

The main difference between an outdoor wood furnace versus an outdoor wood boiler is what each appliance is heating. An outdoor wood furnace burns wood to create heat, which warms the air and moves it through the ducts in your home. An outdoor wood boiler uses the heat from burning wood to warm water, which goes through pipes to radiators in the home.

A common HVAC rule is that for every 500 to 600 square feet of living space, you need 1 ton of heating or cooling capacity. Now that you know this common rule, you also need to know that it isn’t very accurate, and a dedicated pro wouldn’t use it for your home. If you talk to a pro who won’t or can’t perform a proper Manual J calculation, consider hiring someone more thorough.

In most cases, repairing a radiator is more affordable than replacing it. A typical repair may cost between $100 and $200, while a replacement can average $1,500, with a range of $250 to $2,500 depending on the unit type. Radiator issues are often simple fixes for a professional, such as a blown fuse, malfunctioning thermostat, or a loose valve, and can take less than an hour. However, if the long-term costs of fixing the radiator are higher than replacement, it's better to get a new model. It is recommended to consult a heating expert to diagnose the problem and determine the best solution for your situation.

Steam boilers require flushing at least every six to 12 months to keep them operating effectively for as long as possible. Depending on your water quality and frequency of use, you might need to do this more frequently. The flushing process helps to remove problematic buildup of sediments. While a boiler contractor near you can perform a thorough annual flush, learning how to drain the system yourself means you can do this monthly if you experience speedy mineral accumulation because of hard water.
