"Called before heading over, did an excellent job installing our drawer pulls in our kitchen, cleaned up after themselves and charged a fair price for the work. Will be using them again for other projects."

"On October 10, 2024 My wife and I hired Genesis Design Mechanical to install a new water heater at one of our properties here in Albuquerque. I got his quote and it was not cheap. However, the company I hired, Genesis Design Mechanical, they are a first class high quality service plumber. The water heater inspection passed, no problems. We have had other plumbers on other properties my wife and I own and they fail inspection, their services were not like Genesis. I was so happy after they completed the job. We now use Genesis for all our plumbing needs because they do a very good and quality job. And their customer service is superior. Genesis Design Mechanical is very dependable and prompt. I highly recommended Genesis Design Mechanical for all your plumbing needs. They are very good."

Gas Logs questions, answered by experts

Depending on the appliance and labor requirements, costs range from $150 to $500.

All U.S. states require permits for gas grill installation, so you’ll have to get one before you move forward with your project. Permits help ensure that the gas line runs safely to avoid gas leaks and explosions. Gas line permits can usually also only be pulled by certified plumbers, which means you’ll have to hire a professional from the start. The permit for a gas line installation for a gas grill usually costs between $100 and $300. You can contact your installation company or building department for more accurate pricing.

You can maneuver your gas grill into place, but you cannot connect the grill to your gas source yourself. All municipalities mandate that a certified plumber carry out this work, so you’ll have to reach out to a plumber or a gas grill installation company in your area. Given how dangerous a gas leak can be, gas lines and connections are highly regulated, so you’ll need a professional’s help and a permit to install a gas grill.

While it’s possible to repair minor grill issues like replacing a burner, more serious issues are clear indicators that you need to replace the entire unit. A few signs that your gas grill may be at the end of its life span and it’s time to consider replacing it include:

  • Rusty or cracked firebox

  • Weak, yellow, or uneven flames

  • Flaking, cracking grates

  • Leaking or cracked propane hoses

  • Failing igniter

  • Heavy buildup of grease

The difference between a built-in and regular grill is installation and design. A built-in grill is integrated into an outdoor kitchen or structure, often within a countertop or island. It is a permanent fixture. A regular grill is standalone, portable, or cart-mounted, allowing mobility and versatility in placement. Built-in grills are typically larger with more cooking space, while regular grills come in various sizes. Built-in grills are favored for creating a custom outdoor cooking area, while regular grills provide convenience and flexibility.
